I don't think it's a good thing, from what I'm seeing on Google. Most thermostats have a short-cycle protection feature, but I'm a little too busy to find out what it is.

RTFM.

Also, TTIWWOP.

Short Cycling is when the compressor keeps cutting itself off after running for about 30 sec., either by high-head pressure, low charge or some other internal problem and kicking back on. I don't know if that's why it's so cold because it usually doesn't allow the compressor to fully do it's job.

But you wimminz are always cold...go get a sweater or something.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There's very little in this world that can't be fixed with a little vigorous masturbation.

I keep a spare wodge of cardboard from a server box handy. when I'm working in the datacenter for a while if I happen to be standing on a vented tile, I place the cardboard over it so I don't get frostynuts.

Oh in the winter my house is freezing too. Oil is so freakin expensive anymore but in the middle of August I'm not exactly dressed for winter time temperatures inside!
