Perrin crank pulley installed... car won’t start
Hi,
So I recently installed a Perrin crank pulley PSP-ENG-101 to my 2015 Impreza and I even installed the inner pulley part # 12339AA010. Everything fits perfectly. After everything I got excited and went to start the car and all it did was crank but never started up. Has anyone had this issue or know what is causing it? Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing related to the crank pulley on that engine that would cause a no-start. What did you remove/unplug to replace the pulley? You made sure part # 12339AA010 was engaged in the keyway on the crankshaft and the oil pump ? Front of part # 12339AA010 almost flush with the lip of the seal?
Did you shove something down the hole at the back of the block to hold the crankshaft while removing the bolt? If yes then you have probably screwed up the reluctor plate for the crank sensor. That means pulling the engine, and replacing the reluctor plate which is behind the flywheel/flex-plate. |
