Default My 2000 GC8 RHD V6 type-RA V-Limited Type WRC conversion!

I did this a couple years ago from scratch and sold the car end of 2007. Just came across all my pictures so i thought I would share.

Car started out as a stock 2000 2.5rs

Complete JDM donor car: V6 type-RA V-Limited Type WRC #505/2000

I did all the work myself along with my fabricator and a couple friends who helped me along the way!

enjoy.....

I believe the new owner may be on this forum. But i am not sure their screen name.

I have actually tried getting a hold of the new owner to see how the car is and what kind of dyno numbers it put down, but never received an email back.

I had sold the car on RS25.com

Great community. I sold my version 7 swapped GC there two years ago, and my 04 STi last year and still keep in touch with the new owners through RS25. Not only are they both loving and taking care of the cars, but they were actually cousins haha.

Thanks for posting the info even though you don't have the car anymore, I'm sure someone will find the "step-by-step" useful.

I had this RHD GC8 i built, Evo IX MR, K20 swapped civic, 2500HD diesel truck, 1997 Skyline R33 GTR Vspec.

My shop was getting full of my own cars and my house was full of cars. So I sold the GC8 and the Evo. I miss the GC8, car was just INSANE. Just looked soo mean and sounded awesome. I am curious about who has the car and what its been like.

I found my old for sale add here on NASIOC. Buyer's screen name was " D Watts"

I am picking up a 2005 STi this Tuesday. so we will see how this one turns out

@AMS MIKE : I know this has been discussed a butt load of times, but I thought I'd ask a guy who obviously worked on this car, does the 2000 WRC STi RA have more aggressive cams than the rest of the Ver6 STi's? I know that all of the STi RA/R have Big Post Heads, but Ive heard ppl say that the cams are more aggressive than any STi that came before it. Truth?

All that work and you installed the engine with that nasty intake manifold? tsk tsk.

7 years later do you plan to finally get around to finishing it
