Default New Brakes/H6 rear upgrade - driveway photoshoot FTW

Just some pictures I took to see how my brakes looked like in pictures. I haven't left my driveway since the install, so the color of the rotors should change a lot.

In person, the car is actually dirty as s*** right now. But it doesn't show very much on white.

^If that's what you were referring to.

Nice! Welcome to the Legacy brake club.

Hammer versus rusty shielding. Hammer wins.

'00 RS, STi Ver.5/6 suspension, WRX fronts and H6 rears. And a bunch of other junk.

I love the brakes, they make for such a smooth stop.

Yep. It's the rotors and the caliper brackets. Dust shield comes off with the hammer if you pry it, mine popped off pretty easy. Watch out for sharp edges.

I think there's a write-up on Scoobymods and/or www.northursalia.com too.

Yeah it's pretty simple, just take your time. Makes it easier since you don't have to pull the calipers off the lines, bleed the fluid, all of that.

One helpful thing I found is to keep a shoebox on-hand. When you pull the caliper off, lay it on end in the fenderwell on the floor, and set the caliper on it. That way the hose doesn't stress, and you don't have to try and balance it on a control arm or something. Though the rear ones do balance pretty well on the swaybar...

Yeah those are obviously the new ones, though.

I'd consider those but I want to retain my OE 16"s and the 2005+ LGT brakes front/rear won't allow for them. At most I'd upgrade to the Subaru GC STi 4-pots (i.e. 2006 USDM WRX brakes).
