Default Snowboard-n-Ski time!

So what is everyone doing for ski season? I live in the south east so I get one, maybe two trips a year.

I'll be in Summit County, CO in February

Plans anyone? Except you lucky wankers who live within driving distance to great skiing.

Got the super pass again this year which is Copper and Winter Park.

Got some new skis too this year, can't wait to let them rip. (Line Prophet 90)

We just need some snow now.

Keystone opened today but we haven't really had any good snow yet. Something is supposed to come in Monday though.

Noice. I <3 the outback there. It's been a few years since I've skied that area. Went to HC Canada two years ago. I look forward to it.

Any ideas/options for cheap lift passes?

That's pretty much how I remember vail too. The back bowls were ok but that's about all.

Just put a Yakima ski rack on the Subby. Going to tour all the major resorts in northern New Mexico and Colorado: Durango, Wolf Creek, Vail, Taos, Copper, etc.

Did I mention that the uncle's strange friends aren't coming this year?

That's how we get the downstairs to ourselves.

Nice. Those are on my "list". So far I've been able to ski:

Jackson Hole
Steamboat
Crested Butte
Summit Co. (Vail, BC, Keystone et al)
Park City
Canyons
Whistler/Blackcomb

I'm working the same gig again this winter so free trips for me.

Plus, we're going out to visit my sister in SLC in February for a week, she said "we'll you'd be retarded not to bring your ski ****!" (we're flying out so she can me our **** trophy). Plus my Aunt lives a mere 6 hours south in Telluride, so maybe we'll drive down and pay her a visit while we're in the area.

I will mostly be in the back country this year. Might make a trip up to Whistler or Mt Baker, too.

We went to Wolf Creek two seasons ago after they had 50 inches in two days. Unfortunately my skis were no match for all that snow and it was tough.

On a sader note, I'm off to Jackson Hole next week (for work). But the mountain isn't open.

Jackson Hole not open =

That's the only place I've had to be taken off the mntn. I had a close encounter of the tree kind :/

At least is was after skiing in thigh-deep powder on the last day... so it was hydrocodone and G&T's for me.

There's some ~1700' runs. The place is relatively small but there's lots of steep there and they get lots of snow.
