Default Leesburg, Virginia?

I would appreciate recommendations for knowledgable Impreza vendors and/or mechanics within fifty miles of Leesburg, Virginia. The area that interests me includes any of the following towns: Leesburg; Sterling; Tysons Corner; Winchester; Warrenton; Frederick, Maryland; Charlestown, West Virginia; and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I am particularly interested in suspension upgrades for street use. I am too old for racing. I just want a good handling, reliable, durable car.

Thumbs up Evolution autosports, I recommend!

Try Evolution Autosports in Chantilly, VA just down rt. 28 from leesburg.

They just finished up a huge install job on a WRX to include exhaust, intake, afc, boost controller, body kit, power meter, and more in the works.

They also did my intake install as well. i highly recommend them as allot of shops claim they now service WRX's but havent worked on them...Parts are easy to come by but knowledge and experience is not.

Just my two cents!

They can be reached at 703-961-9090 and ask for Jeff and tell him Beau sent you.

Their address is:

13903 Metrotech Drive
Chantilly, VA 20151

If you have any questions you can PM me or email...Thanks

Beau

cartrenz is week, to expensive too, they want 79$ for a momo shift boot, and they couldnt even order the KnN breather filter i wanted and when the wronge one did come in it was 3 weeks, poor service, they lost me. I like IPT in woodbridge, they are installing my srpings tommaro, and machV is a nice place too.

Default Evolutions still the best...

He said "Vendor/Mechanic" I wouldnt trust most of the stores in this area to do an install. Anyone can gets parts cheap, just depends if they will give it to you at that price or not. Most of teh shops in the area are "High Priced". I have found that Evolutions has been the best price in most cases, and if they are not, they match the price and in my opinion beat it in service.

I carry their logo on my car for this very reason!

None of the other shops have proven them selves to me and i shopped them all in the NoVa area.

Default BEWARE of IPT, Woodbridge

DangeRS,

I would caution you to be VERY CAREFUL when leaving your car with IPT.

Another Galant owner left his car there to have custom intecooler pipes welded for a Greddy front mount. After 2 weeks of excuses he got the car back.

We know the parts and sales guys at Malloy Mitsu (across the street from IPT) that they were taking the car out for joyrides. They know our two Galants (one of which was the one that was supposedly being "worked on" for 2 weeks) since we buy all our dealer parts from them. They told us that they had seen the car, on more than one occasion during those "two weeks" being ragged all around Woodbridge and that it was out all the time (I guess for getting lunch and picking up parts .....).

I would note the mileage on your car and SPECIFY IN WRITING that no test drives are to be done without you or your permission.

Personally I wouldn't go near that place.

In order these are the local shops I would check out:

Evolution: Even though EVO's are mitsu's and they dunno JACK about mitsu's there

CDE: Pricey but they have/race fast shop cars

MachV: I little pricey, but Dan, Geoff and Heather are cool and take the time to talk to you about your car

Autothority; VERY pricey but they do know alot about imports

Places to avoid like the Plauge:

Car Trenz Rockville AND Fairfax: I knew I was in trouble when I asked about the price of some rims and was asked "How much are you looking to spend ?"

Altered Atmosphere: they sell lotsa stuff but they dunno how to install or tune it once you buy it ... ooops

Porsche Pitstop: Stay away PERIOD. They tend to throw money at problems (in the form of HK$ products to try and fix problems) They have had a white Galant there for months and have not been able to get it to run right YET.
