Default 2008 WRX VF52 Pullz-0n tuning

Facility: Boostin' Performance in Illinois
Type of Dyno: Mustang
Baseline # for a stocker at the dyno: no stock cars ran. It was mainly EVO's that day
Boost: 19--->15
Fuel: 93 oct
Target AFR: 11.1-11.3
SAE Corrections: unknown
Peak HP at RPM: 281 @ 5300
Peak Torque at RPM: 305 @ 3900
Mods: VF52, AEM CAI, GS EBCS 3-port, Invidia Catless DP, TurboXS Catback.

Vehicle is tuned by Stevie @ Pullz-on Tuning out of GA. The tune is extremely smooth through the entire powerband, and holds power until the very end. For minimal mods, this boring 2008 has definitely become a beast. I give a ton of credit to Stevie's ability to dial it in.

NO bigger tmic or fmic? Probably the last thing to raise that boost a hint higher to about 20psi's. I have a similar set-up, getting my dyno on monday though.

I'm looking to do this mod on my '08 soon. The VF52 that I'm getting will have close to 80K on the clock though so, I have 2 questions:

1. Approximately how many miles are these turbos good for?

2. My car is currently running a Cobb stage 2 OTS tune with a cat back, gutted dp, Cobb short ram & a lighter pulley. Gonna get an EBCS & TP 3.52 tune when we do the turbo swap. How much more noticeable will the power increase be - seat of the pants wise?

Thanks in advance

The turbo will last a long time, if you don't drive like your in a fast and furious movie all of your dam time. As far as yor second question, I will have to say it will be a significant difference in performance. The vf comes in strong and hold that power for a long time.

Awesome. Thanks, man. It'll be nice to have a turbo that doesn't run out of steam by 5,500 rpms. How high can you tac it up to with this tune & does it still have some grunt down low?

vf52 falls off at that rpm. your td04 peaks at like 3500 rpms. my lowend is still there. i have equal length headers that help with flow. i think my redline is 6700 with my tune but no need to go that high.

thats not really true. on both my pump and e85 tunes my vf52 made and held power all the way to redline

i have seen dyno's where they fall off up top though, maybe its the tuner

either way, nice #'s OP!

I got my 08 tuned by jr and I can say is that my tq does drop a decent amount when I am near 5500 but as far as hp it is on a steady incline up to 5500 and past. I ended up making 310-346 on a dyno jet

Yah I am currently running stock injectors and stock TMIC. The plan is to go big TMIC, ID 1000's, EWG, and upgrade fuel pump. At that point Steve will push out some more power, and then I'll be ready for a larger turbo
