600+ HP with a stock location turbo on a 2015 STI
I haven't seen anything on this yet but yesterday I got tuned for E85 and a new turbo. This XR 82HTZ FP Black is a monster of a turbo. All of my mods are listed below and I have attached a picture of the dyno numbers and the graph. mind you this is on Prime Motoring's Mustang dyno which is notorious for reading low. This is all thanks to Prime Motoring and JR Tuned.

Those are very solid numbers for a stock location setup.
How confident are you on running that much power on the stage 2 short block? and for how long? |

lots of power, congrats.
I'm kinda surprised the dw300 can flow enough fuel for 600whp, are you sure that's not a type-o? |

It really is surprising the far difference between the dw65c and the dw300c. |

Its not a typo, initially it was a walbro 450 but the fuel pressure was like 80 psi to start with and it would slowly level out so we had to switch to dw300 because they didn't have a better non OEM style fuel pressure regulator kit in stock. Also IAG has one of the best customer service and if their motor fails due to their issue they will replace the motor in less than 10 days. Their product is top notch. I'm not sponsored by anyone everything done to my car is paid for by me with steep steep discounts for military and being a homie by Prime Motoring.

Unless you plan on going over 600 just get a stage 2 tuff and call it a day...unless you want to get a closedeck just to say you have one.

Once I figure out what planet Jr is from I'll let you guys know. 600whp+ on an FP Black is out of this world. Space jam! This is ridiculous!

I keep looking for head work and cams on the list. Is this with a stock top end? I love this build. It is exactly where I see mime going, only my goals are 500whp, and I only have a dom3, and Spearco top mount intercooler. The only things left are ID1700s, Speed density, and a Jr tune. Currently my ID1Ks are maxed out at 450whp on a low reading Mustang. This is with a 55psi base and wb450. We turned it down a bit from that to have room left in fueling for safety.
So those are stock cams and heads? |

I know that tuners are often slow to tell all (like maybe the actual boost curve, taper, or lack of), but do you mind sharing what the max boost pressure was? I assume the "Stage 2" is not closed deck or sleeved? Mine has been pushed to 30psi, but is now at 26psi because of the injector limitations mentioned above. I am wondering how high this one was pushed for a real 600whp on stock top end. |

Mine is an 04 with VSR Motorsports built block. It should be pretty close in specs. Last edited by dlapham; 04-21-2016 at 10:26 AM. |
