Angry Just got my rear differential swapped out under warranty.... what could this sound be

I have an '05 STi on Cobb sport springs.

Just got my rear diff replaced under warranty because it was leaky. It appears that there is a brand new rear diff installed.

When I am going very slow, and then take a sharp sharp turn (like 5MPH) I hear some popping and clanking from what seems to be my front wheels. It happens on the drivers side when I go left and the passenger's when I go right.

Could the process of replacing the rear diff have anything to do with this? I don't know exactly what they do so I'm not sure but do know it happened as soon as they swapped it.

Any help is appreciated! Please!

Your diff needs to break in a bit I think. I had the same sounds when my STi was new. Tight turn, clunk, clunk, pop, clank. Nearly pooped myself!

I think you're just fine :-)

I've been wrong before though.

Hmmm weirdness. I thought it could be the control arms or something. I'm hoping you're right!

No DCCD is set on Auto, but I know what you're referring to.

I just got the car back from the dealer and they said "Normal differential break-in sounds" and that everything looks tight and correct under my car. I'm going to try reseting the ECU because I hear the center diff has some issues sometimes.

ooops about the wrong forum I guess I thought it might have something to do with my car being lowered.
