Yeah, the front ends are interchangeable. Probably need a new upper radiator support and will need some new side skirts.

hood, bumper, fenders, sideskirts, core support, headlights etc etc.

"buy a true saabaru instead."

I just want to point out the irony of this statement.

find a friend with a saabaru and test fit some panels. the hood is easy enough to test fit, you could probably test fenders and bumper as well if you had enough time.

and if you do, please take pictures

saabaru to impreza wagon, no problem

saabaru to sedan, you'll need to hack up the saabaru and sedan fenders to get flared fenders that work with the saab headlamps.

It's been done... I spotted one ealier this summer in Maine at the NEFR... I've never seen another since though. Looked a little odd, but cool.

The 9-2X frontend swap has been done on a Suby wagon, but I have yet to see a sedan rocking the frontend.

I'm pretty sure the one I saw was at Wicked Big Meet one year. Maybe the same one. I would think since you can do a WRX wagon to saabaru, and a wrx wagon to sedan (And therefore you should be able to do sedan to wagon, although there's no reason to ever), that you should be able to do sedan to saabaru. As was said, I think your only issue would be fenders, and if you're willing to put in the work to get this done, thats not really that huge of a hurdle.

Sexy. I'd consider doing this front end conversion if it would work. Much better looking than the standard 06-07 front end in my opinion.
