Default Is it possible to create a direct plug in for an ipod?

I currently have my ipod hooked up through a cassette adapter on my stock head unit. I was wondering if it was possible to wire some kind of connection so that I can have a direct plug in, like I can with a regular stereo. I am clueless in this area so any help is appreciated. Thanks- Mike

stock HU doesn't have AUX input so you have to hook ipod with casset adaptor or FM modulator.
