you would need different pedal box to swap that into a GC/GM...they are different now on the GD's.

It's a good deal on the motor and tranny combo ( if it's the one in the pic... an STi version 8). Also, with the RS swap idea, you would have to totally re-wire the car... and that would mean that the ENTIRE wiring harness and ECU would need to be included. My swap is taking the better part of a month... and that's just the motor.

On the plus-side: you will have a rare car that will turn more heads and make more waves than a USDM STi... I promise you that.

i dont think you NEED the rear brakes. you can also get an auto driveshaft instead of 6speed.

R180 rear diff
sti axles
sti / bigger rear brakes.

all you need is a 3.9 final drive ring and pinion

as for this stuff

wiring harness
shiftboot
crossmember
sti 6-speed driveshaft

i have it all

im even within driving distance
so you dont have to pay ungodly shipping rates

if your interested please let me know

If this is your only car go with the STi... a project car should not be your only car.

Ive never heard of this company, and the fact they leave things out like, Front suspension, ecu with out harness, and ej20t( ) seems shady to me. Ask how many miles are on the car, how long its been at thier shop...

I wouldnt buy a motor with out an ecu and full harness...

I have a ford explorer i can use as my daily driver while undergoing the project. Also this company, japan star motors, is about 20 minutes away from me. I have been there before to help my friend get an LS motor for his civic hatch and noticed the sti engine and tranny combo. It includes the front suspension... Yes its weird they include the ecu but not the harness. I would want to get the sti driveshaft and R180 rear diff and not use some mix match combo even tho it would work. How or where would i get an sti v.7/8 wiring harness? It just says ej20t, the company is mainly nissan/honda so they dont know much about this swap. Where would i look in the block to find out if its a sti v.7 or v.8, or if its a regular wrx block with sti intercooler trying to rip me off?

You can use a usdm wrx harness and run seperate wires for the avcs. Although jdm wiring harnesses do pop up every once in a while.

Yes, you can use a WRX harness and wire for the AVCS... but you MUST use the JDM ECU. The reason they don't have the harness is because someone was lazy and just cut the harness at the ECU and didn't pull the wiring. I have seen this many times before. The way to look for whether it is an STi or WRX is the AVCS cam sensors and even the wiring going to them will give it away. Both JDM and USDM EJ20 blocks all say the same thing on them: EJ20

Well someone like kaneda3 is a start for finding one... rallispec, lachute subaru, gruppe-s... will all have ecus. You can like said use the wrx harness but picking up a ver7 harness is easyer.

The ecu alone goes for $750+

Good luck, and Kreeger is right they were just lazy and thats why there is no harness or ecu. Unless you know them and have delt with them before I wouldnt trust them....

Cough, that's my engine in the photo. Really it's my engine that's sitting in my garage that i purchased from nagano a couple of months back.
Dean opened up this shop not more than a couple of months agon. I did have some problems with him and the transaction, so i would watch out. If you can deal with him face to face that would solve a lot of the problems i had.
If he has another ver 8 w/6 mt for that price i would buy it quick as it's a good deal. I would make sure that it is a ver 8 though as he had several other sti engines that were NOT the 03 model.

Yeah, i bought it from nagano in quebec, they are the same people i'm pretty sure. Dean said he was going to open up a buisness on the east coast, so i'd say with that photo and being on the east coast it's probably the same dude.
Poor communication, very poor packaging ( timimg belt cover wash smashed when i got it and a bent up shifter-easily 600 bux worth of damage).
Don't let the "We care about you guys" speach on their website fool you. They really don't. As for the warranty, well i got a 30 day that was worthless as he sent me the wrong ecu at first then when the warranty was about up he sent the right one. I asked him to extend the warranty and he promptely denied it.
There is other stuff, but i won't get into that.
Just watch yourself when dealing with him. Get EVERYTHING in writting before you buy. I think you can get a good deal if you're willing to put up with him.
