Default 05 STI takeoffs on 05 2.5RS?

Hey guys, my friend has a 05 2.5rs wagon and he recently found a deal on a set of 05(V9?) sti takeoffs.
Some questions on these takeoffs..

-Would the 05 sti strut fit the RS knuckle/hub? Some says that the knuckle is wider and beefier than the rest of the Impreza.
-If they don't fit, the 04 STI takeoffs should correct? Since the takeoffs avaliable to us are from USDM sti (sedans), the rear springs are shorter than wagon springs. Would it give an uneven look to the car? none to 0.5" drop is what i heard, but the rear is questionable.

Thanks

The 05 STi mounting holes on the struts need to be enlarged for fit any of the other imprezas. I'm not exactly sure what all has to be done though.

Shot answer: Not plug and play.

(1) No the fronts won't fit for the exact reason you cited. I've heard of people using a spacer but that's mickey-****ing-mouse.
(2) Correct, the 04STi takeoffs will fit any GD impreza.

The best combo is what we have been working on collecting. 04 STI take off fronts and 05 STi take off rears. The 05 rears ( to my knowledge) dont knock, but time will tell. The combo will work well and you can still use JDM pinks or Prodrive 05 Sti springs very well. Plus with some of the updates to the rear 05s ther should be less bobble head...........

there's reports of klunks on '05s already (repeats even). I am thinking of finding the right grease to put into the seals to prevent the knock/stiction for significantly longer periods of time, but I've been too lazy, and frankly if I fix the klunking all the whiny, anal people will stop dumping their inverted struts for cheap and the value of takeoffs will go up before I've amassed enough to sell and retire on the profits
