No, there's no replacement. I lost my dad on 10/31/95. I'll never forget him and I'm sure he looks down on me as your fathers look down on you guys.

thats actually a pretty heavy thought. more so than anything thats crossed my mind in years. 'what would life be like without dad...'

it's inconceiveable, even afterwards.

So I got a bunch of stuff today, including a nice framed picture of the kids.

Plan to spend the day playing BF2, messing with new telescope hardware, and possibly wash the Maser.

My dad died Dec 1991, seems a lot less than 15 years ago.

My dad passed away when I was 13.
He has always remained a light in my life. Even though he is passed thinking of him brings me great joy! Now I am a father myself.

Happy fathers day to all you fathers and future fathers!

My dad passed when i was 12.

2/10/92

My dad taught me so much in those short 12 years. Made me who i am today. Some of his words that i always find myself leaning on "Life is a bitch, and then you die" I know it sounds harsh, but what he meant when he said it was, yea life sucks...get over it and enjoy the isht that matters.

My brother wrote a song about my dad that you guys might enjoy... go here, http://www.myspace.com/greenstreetmajority and play "Arbitrary Tune" Its a good reflection song

thanks dad...hope i can be half the man you were....

This is a tough day for my dad. He's still alive, but he's only the father to one now. My brother was killed at age 9. So, Father's Day is always rough for my dad.

I'm having a different type of day, I think. Today is my first father's day I didn't grow up with one, but I am one now.

Happy father's day, everyone. Good thoughts for those who have passed on.

I just called my Dad to wish him a happy dad's day, and I found out my step-grandfather is dying. He only has about a week to live. Then I will officially be down 3 grampys.

*sigh *

Happy Fathers day to all the dudes out there who managed to find a woman and had at some point more than 9 months ago dumped a load in a (hopefully willing) female and procreated, and especially to those who have adopted, done IVF, been a step-parent, taken on someone elses kid or whatever other admirable fathering that people do. Because making the baby is the easy part... Being a damned good dad is something that deserves enjoying a day in mid June.

So far today I have discovered that the best way to hide chocolate chips in pancakes is to use the end of a wooden spoon and push them down onto the partially cooked pancake and twist when removing the spoon.

Although you definitely don't read OT - I'd also like to say Happy Fathers Day dad, having you around has always made my life much better and for that I know now that I am grateful but I fear that in a few years I will learn the hard way just how much you mean to me. (awww).

Yup...usually making them is the easy part. we're done at 2. one boy, one girl. It's not always easy. You can't buy patience, or understanding....you have to somehow whip it up out of thin air...most days are good. Every once in awhile there's some hard times....I try not to yell or get too angry, it doesn't do a whole lot of good. I don't know....that's just scratching the surface....I guess just try your best.
