Duely noted. I'm a bit low on dollars. Just bought a house. I will look into it for sure. Any input is nice.

They look to be strictly cosmetic so making the costly investment in legitimate light bar seems kind of fruitless to me, but that's just my 2 cents. I'm also the one who wants to pull an additional 2/3rds the weight of the OBS in cargo/trailer haha.
If you want to put LED's surrounding the high and low beams like angel eyes, consult theretrofitsource. Typically they use fluorescent rings that are fastened around the projector shroud, as they look better since they are seamless since there are no gaps of light between individual diodes, but there are ways to do it with LED's. The downside to the fluorescent rings (CCFL ring) is that they're typically fairly fragile and if not supported well they can crack through regular driving. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=103 |

I finally picked up some mudflaps to help with the salt... I swear they're not crooked, the OEM splash-guards are not parallel by default!
And I also just realized that these OEM splash-guards are not standard |

Has anyone used the Liberal Albero front bumper on their car? It would be cool for the OBS.

Oh nice- thanks for the quick reply. I figured it was something like that.. Was the install tricky? How much did it run you? I might have to add it to my "to do" list if I can fit into my car fund (which is empty right now)

I am super glad I found this thread. Ive been drooling over the wrx and sti's in the impreza gallerys. I must say I love this OBS; and its my first sub. My car fund is pretty empty now that I bought it, but I have some plans.. My wish list:
-tinted (at probably 35% or 30% all around except the windshield; I dont want it super dark as I dont have great eye sight at night) -flapatax mud flaps -hood deflector -maybe window vents too -fairing for the top -eventually swapping the hood for a sti/wrx with the air intake (assuming thats how other OBS owners did it) Ive already done the key fob mod to make a switchblade key (love it) and got the subaru badges.. Heres a shot of it from the dealership: Any suggestions or thoughts? Things are that relatively cheap and easy? Im not a super car guy but like to tinker and do little things. Ive thought about de-badging but not sure I cant get myself to do it.. Last edited by austriker; 03-23-2013 at 03:39 PM. |

I did some searching in prior posts in this thread, looks to be about $200 or so and quite the install (~10 hours or so) although I couldnt tell if the reason for the length was installing the power mirror feature or just wiring the heat and blinkers

Here is what 30% tint looks like
Here is an idea for you, blue footwell lights! I thought this was a pretty cool picture! |

Nice, thanks. After spending a few hours pouring through this thread Ill probably go 25 or 30. I think 25 is the limit in oregon (where my plates are from moved up to seattle recently though). Either way Im stoked to get it tinted as I think it makes any car look 100x better and plus I think its safer (no one can peak in easily to steal something)
Footwells- nice! Thats a good thought, Id probably go red though to match the interior dash |

35 is the legal limit in Oregon. I agree it looks a ton better than stock.
Either color will look good, I didn't want to much red so that's why I went with blue. Looks good with the cubby light. |

Nice, thanks for the pics. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the 35. That's exactly what I'm looking at.. tint, fairing and hood scoop. Although ill probably hold off on the hood for awhile since it's mostly looks and I can't imagine it's cheap. I'm pretty new to this whole "Fairing" business, is it just personal preference between Thule, inno, yamaha, etc? I like the way the inno one looks..
Also the duo tone black looks amazing! Love the obs! |

Great shots! What percentage tint is that? I've got the same color obs so it's nice to compare before I get some.

mud flaps and inno fairing installed.. yipee! I even got up to 31 mpg on the highway with the fairing (I think it helps).. Of course that was going 55 mph, once I got up to 70 it was down to 27/28 mpg..
