My girlfriend wanted to try a drag race before. She pulled over the staging line, then threw it in reverse to correct herself. She got staged, and the first light turned yellow when I looked down and realized she left her car in reverse. Luckily it was an automatic, and I was able to put it in drive not even a second before the green. She almost pulled that.

It must've been embarassing for the Subie driver though.

I've seen people do this all the time at the drag strip. However generally its in a vehicle that reverse gear is left and up from first. I dont have an STI but I think all manual Subarus USDM and JDM reverse is down and right?

haha i saw a mustang stall twice! and catch up to a civic. It was funny. It was like a 10 second car though he was just having mechanical problems as far as the stalling went. Not driver error as far as i heard.

That was one of my biggest fears before I went to the drag strip. Luckily, the few times I pulled up to far and had to back down I remembered to go back into the correct gear.

It was a badly-placed oil line, but the leakage was almost always caused by user error. Fieros are great cars, but the general stupidity of the human race gave them a bad reputation.
