well, i'm not sure if this is completely unique, but i modified by original underhood airscoop to pump cold air into K&N cone/typhoon area. this scoop usually plugs right into the OEM intake, but didnt fit with the K&N. i still wanted a "ram air" effect so...
to build, the steps are:
- remove heat shield and bend its metal shape to allow more cold air
- cut the original scoop to shape, so it feeds air directly into the cone. the plastic is really thick and cant be cut so i had to saw it to fit. i laid out 3M dINOC carbonfiber weave, then painted body color.

w/ K&N typhoon

note some other mods underthere... the inside hood and inside of fenders are dynamat-ed and i have an aluminum-backed foam underhood liner. the front strut tower brace also has custom-made rubber mounted below it's bolt points -- for improved NVH

Though it's not unique, I find it very practical, time consuming and intentional. I support you 100%. I find it interesting that your vibration decreasing mods get a few pokes and jabs, where as the dude a few pages back who gold heat wrapped his TMIC and some hoses got "bling points"...... My gauge of "coolness" when it comes to unique mods falls into the following criteria:

Could I do this?
Form vs. Function? Does it look rad or will it make my car run better?

From there, doesn't matter. The point is, it's your car, it's unique because you can't get it at a box shop or a dealer. Mod ons dudes!!!

Question though. Wouldn't putting rubber underneath your strut bar basically negate the effects of a strut bar?

Cuz when the bar flexes, the rubber will squirm, bend, etc, won't it?

Not doggin, just curious

Man, did the guy that had those SICK see-thru fog lights on his Scoob ever began selling those? I would find the picture but the thread is buried somewhere.
