It's nothing special on the outside, but it gets me where I want to go pretty quickly!

Did you make that license plate holder?
No. I don't know where it's from though because the car came with it. If I were home I'd go check for you, but I won't see the car for a couple more months. Sorry I can't help.

If I remember correctly, Evo 8's had a similar plate bracket that some people used. Not sure what had to be done to make it work or anything like that though.

Anytime.

Also:

-don't launch a bugeye if it has the stock 5 speed tranny. If you do it'll break. Period. You can slip the clutch and get a similar result, but that's obviously wearing on the clutch too. If you launch a 5 speed you'll destroy it though.

-blow off valves are bad, mmmkay? Recirc BPV FTW.

-If/when you pick up a bugeye and you start looking at parts to modify it some, check out the used parts classifieds here on NASIOC, as well as clubwrx.net and IWSTI. You can find a LOT of really good(and rare sometimes) deals if you look enough. Check like ten times a day everyday and you'll land awesome parts for cheap. I bought my set of Volks for $1500. All my JDM goodies were wayyyy cheaper than retail(for instance, my JDM STi intake manifold was only $150 shipped, brand new!). Got a Cobb Tuning turbo back exhaust for $600 and it's an $1100 exhaust if you pay retail.

-if you modify ANYTHING under the hood, get a tune. I don't care if it's just an intake. You need a tune. The end. Doesn't apply to cosmetic stuff, just performance/efficiency upgrades. You don't wanna lean out or run rich with these engines.

-get ready for a lot of rubbernecking...lol

The people who break the bugeye trannys are the ones who beat on them even during daily driving. They're not near as weak as anyone portrays them to be but they're not 6 speed strong either. Just want to clear that up.

VTA bov's do not blow motors. I don't care what anyone says.

As for getting a tune. Sure, it's a good idea but the 16bit ECU's are not near as picky as the 32bit ECU's.

Some IPhone pics from the other day. Got my Prodrive lip and Greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust going on early next week!

It's coming along. I don't think it looks too bad for having 120k miles on the ticker!

Much improved from when I bought it two months ago:

I didn't say they were "weak", I said not to launch a 5 speed. Go ahead and do a 6000 rpm clutch dump with one and see what happens.

I didn't say they blow motors. I don't understand why you want to lose the charged air instead of keeping it...

Even if they aren't as picky it's wise to get tuned. Doesn't matter what ECU it is. Why the **** would you pay money for parts, make your motor run rich/lean, and also not see the full benefit from that part? Not wise.
