Mishimoto cans?
I think you posted before that the hoses and fitting were garbage.

Yessir, I enjoyed reengineering the hoses and fittings. A copper tubing bender and 1/2 ACR copper tubing allowed me to duplicate the Mishimoto bends. Slides right in the hose. The same tubing makes a swedged bushing for the PCV valve.

Lean at initial boost
Hey everyone. I'm struggling to figure out where this lean spike is coming from when I reach boost. I replaced the header gaskets and j-pipe gasket thinking it could be an exhaust leak above the O2 sensor, but no improvement. I also looked over the intake and intercooler couplings. Could this be blow-by from AVCS or some other leak? My other concern is my calculated load seems higher than quite a few logs I'm seeing with similar mods.
Here is the OTS Stage2 Big SF - https://datazap.me/u/scoobman20/stag...og=0&data=8-26 Here is the same map with an OL MAF re-cal and the CL delay reduced and CL map high load changed slightly (better but the spike is still there in the beginning) - https://datazap.me/u/scoobman20/stag....91&tmax=99.60 Mod List: Catless J-pipe 3" Catback Cobb 3" intake TGV delete EGR delete Restrictor pill delete |

Have you thought about getting a 3 port to contain your overboost? Seems to happen after it spikes then reaches target.

Interesting observation and thanks for the suggestion, but I don't understand why exceeding the target boost would cause higher values than the commanded AFR. Maybe you know something I don't.

No just noticed it, figured I'd mention it.
Are you running a modified COBB map for the TGV/EGR deletes? |

If you're using the same valve timing with the factory TGV Open side I don't see AVCS causing these issues. TGV would be normally open in that region. So unless you're changing valve action it shouldn't be an issue. If you have reset to the Cobb OTS for that parameter and see if it changes. Last edited by ericdet; 02-08-2018 at 07:08 AM. |

The calculated load on some logs you see on here have the MAF along with a few other things scaled to avoid hitting the 3.30 load limit on the ECU. You will usually see it on Phatbotti/Ron Watson tunes. When I tune for WOT open loop I zero the delay counter. I don't want any of that Evo like lean spool shenanigans lol. If I were to tune for WOT full time closed loop then it would be the opposite along with a bunch of changes with the CL fueling and other delays. |

Look for "Boost/Load Hard-coded limits" in Cobb's DIT Accesstuner tuning guide. It's not as easy as it seems since all load related tables need manipulating. You really need to know what you are doing...especially with ignition timing. |

That's the easy part. The thing is that every table that references load (Z-AXIS, i.e., ignition, AVCS, Fuel) becomes shifted depending on % change.

Yes it's the final revision. I'll check with Bren but I got the impression that with my mods and the flex fuel etune they lean a tiny bit more towards the conservative side in order to preserve stock internals. Could be why they let boost drop a bit more than expected?

That tune is knocking, check right before 5k and 6k, FKL during WOT is not desired as the engine will pull timing out.
A little lean but it is ethanol and boost falls off hard and fluctuates at the tail end a bit, perhaps an upgraded BPV is in order? https://datazap.me/u/cdog82/log-1518...19-20-24-33-36 |

Did a random log on the drive home tonight to see how the car is doing. Noticed a bit of overboost. Is this something to worry about?

Catless exhaust? Could be a little bit of boost creep there at the end, but it doesn't appear to be THAT cold out.
