Default The blind leading the blind.. across an intersection in Boston.

This isn't an analogy for clueless people..

it was something I actually saw while in the company of a few friends..
I just pointed and said: "holy ****.. the blind leading the blind"

We saw two people.. 30's with walking sticks.. or whatever the technical term is.

The front blind person, sunglasses and all had a backpack on with a rope attached to it. The blind wingman was holding on to this rope...

The Front seeing impaired person was infact leading the rear seeing impaired person across intersections in south boston.

Just when you thought you saw it all eh?

I tried to take pics.. but all I had was my cameraphone.. and they were diagonal across a moving intersection. it was a fruitless venture..

I see this all the time being on a University campus in the city (many hospitals and research centers). It's not uncommon to see blind persons helping each other out at the crosswalks.

It always makes me nervous when I see a blind person walking across 5th Avenue, which has 5 lanes of traffic.

Here in MD, we have a pretty large school for the deaf...

You know how if you go by a school, you usually see a few kids yelling to each other across the street or down the road?

Around this school it's kinda comical to see.

*gets strapped in for ride to hell.*

I mean, I could understand this type of arrangement working at malls.. places with walls and no S.Boston traffic.

but man, I can see and hear perfectly well and I am tenative about crossing intesections in Boston.
