Finished up my scoop delete/vent and did a test fit. Cutting the hood was pretty easy but scary

Stock Scoop:

Scoop insert removed:

How much I cut from the hood. These were rough cuts, I need to even it out a touch along the front edge still.

Test fit of the new scoop insert:

How are you getting the grill mesh to stay secured to the grill?

You have to remove them, dremel them open, disassemble, paint, and re-seal. Not for the feint of heart.

Not so much a how-to thread, but here is who started it.

Comprehension fail. Check out his last pic, he has a front mount. Also he blocked off the scoop so his vent is the only entrance and exit on the hood.

Off topic but has anyone here debadged the Subaru emblem on the trunk yet? Does it come off easy like the letterings? Thanks a bunch!

You mean like the impreza and wrx/ sti emblems? If so it's really easy with heat and fishing line. Come off really easy then just use and adhesive remover to get off excess double sided tape.

You can take it off, but it'll leave a hole, which is why you see no one doing it :P

On another note I bought a new wrx emblem and painted it red. I like how it turned out. Excuse the ugly chrome lights that's my next project!!!

And for those of you with kids I found a car seat that matches our interior!

Great work, however I would be scared of rainwater POURING into my alternator. Honestly, that can't be great for it. Clean install though.
