Default 02 WRX w/catted up pipe + Catlesss TBE pass in NY inspection? NOOB HELP

Basically, the title explains it all. I already purchased a catless HKS downpipe and piping. With the cat in the UP still installed will I pass emissions? If not, how would it be possible for me ot pass? Thanks for the help.

If you are completly catless than no, you will not pass inspection, if you don't put the DP on then you should be fine as long as you have CELs. Not sure where in NY you are , but here in upstate, you have to pass visual inspection, and then they plug into your OBD port to check for failed tests. And I know in NYC they do emissions testing, which means sniffer test.

^^^^if they don't sniff, you can pass with no cats if you've gone the resistor and the mechancial O2 fix. The electornic 02 fix will not get you past inspection

OK, If NY is anything like Mass. here in mass we can not be dyno tested because the inspection stations dont have 4 wheel dyno's for our cars SO .. we are inspected by the OBD2 test and if there are no hard faults your good to go but the resistor mod WILL NOT get you bye this test and you will have to install the mechanical fix ( IE antifoulers on the OXYsensor) this works on every car I have seen done as well as my own and I am Fully catless

the ap will get you through the CEL and OBDII ready parts, but obviously does nothing for visual, and if you have a catless exhaust you may or may not pass the sniffer if you have one.

the resistor fix is for the up-pipe - there is no mechanical fix for that. The resistor works.
