Assuming the only way to get rid of that dip is with upgraded headers?

I haven't seen any tuning solutions by themselves to smooth it out yet.
The the tune from Shiv on the Open Flash Tablet smooths it out a bit IIRC.

you're right, there is no tuning solution for it, however i'll tell you it feels less significant with a tune, its there, but the car gets through it much faster.

yes, header and the rest of the exhaust is in the works, but i'm in no rush here, i genuinely enjoy the car in it's current state. my immediate plans are to redo my wheels, which i need help with because idk what to do...we can have that discussion if people want to help, i'll post my ideas and finish various exterior touches (tail lights/badges/more shaving/diffuser/splitter) and then do gauges so i can keep an eye on temps and finish my interior (yes you might be asking wtf else can i do to it, but i've got more ideas)

and then its time to **** with fearing and put the drivetrain on a small diet

THEN, i'll add more power, but for now with this tune its plenty, the car doesn't fall off towards redline but keep pulling. not breaking any land speed records, but i love it..i've only had the car a little over a year, i should just enjoy what i've built for now, its about the journey

It's hard to tell on a track. One of my favorite exposés of this concept is Mark Higgins' lap around the Isle of Man. With the painted lanes you can see exactly how much of the road he uses and how/when.

I need to dig up the warning I got for apexing a corner once. Had 2 or 3 different citations that added up to what we call apexing.

hey guys been a while since i posted on here, guess what I went to a staggered setup! Actually it wasn't by choice. The belt parkway ate my passenger side tires so I rotated the rear driver side up front, and put two of my dads summer tires on the back (thankfully the rims from his wrx fit my brz). Im now running the stockers up front and 235/35/18r in back. the part I'm most upset about is my alignment seems like it got knocked a little out, gonna stop by the stealership tomorrow and see if they can check it out.

well, splitter is gone, funny thing i was going to take it off in a week or two and make some improvements

winter: 1 me: 0

nothing i could have done, a huge chunk of ice appeared in the road, so it was either hit it or swerve into traffic. damage isn't bad, took the splitter off and now its back to normal.

...roads were clear.

the problem is every ******* that doesn't clean of his truck and dumps massive chunks of ice all over the road and then the people who just shovel chunks of ice into the road instead of on the lawn or etc. leaves no room to swerve and unless you have a lifter jeep, a solid rock of ice will destroy you fenders, i was lucky enough to see it and slow down

I was mistaken, they are all seasons. and judging from my experience in the minimal snow this morning, far superior to the stockers.

Oh nice! Glad everything turned out okay. Appears those side mirrors are resilient little bastards.

DGM is a nice color. I almost got it, but it would've been my third time owning it and I wanted a classy color. Next car is going to be silver, I think.

Yeah the side mirror didn't even break I don't think. and he hit the tirewall backwards at ~75, went off the track faster. Thankfully, he bought track insurance before that day, and it was all covered. The body shop did an excellent job, his paint looks better than it ever has, and he upgraded to aftermarket HIDs for his headlights. The bolster in his drivers seat is broken, but insurance has paid so much out at this point, they're most likely going to replace the seat for him too.

I remember when my Subaru Loyale was totaled by a drunk driver, it broke my seat bolster. My car still ran, so I drove it home and that was ANNOYING to have to sit up while my seat was laying all the way back. haha

Ivan, did anything happen to your seat bolster when your STI was hit by a drunk driver? Mine was hit from behind like yours was.
