Gen 1b Short Shifter!?
Anyone have one?? Who makes one?
It seems I should go with new bushings from kartboy. BTW I already did a search and the only stuff is on newer legacy's. Thanks a lot guys!! Danny

I have an STi short-shifter installed on my Legacy Turbo--It's the only short-shifter that will fit on our model when I last checked. Costs a little more than the Kartboy--but you can't use that one anyhow. Luckily it has a great, solid and snappy feel.

Same as ricochet, the STi is the way to go with an old Legacy.
You can put in the kartboy short shifter and bushings after, but it's pretty firm without. Dave |

I bought mine from Richard Bucknet @ Royal Moore Subaru in Oregon.
Richard is in the rally scene, knows Legacies and Imprezas very well, and can get you what you need. Make sure you get the adapter with it. It's a part that replaces a joint in the assembly that's different on the newer cars. Dave |

Where can I get just the adapter
Does anyone know where we can get just the adapter? I've seen stock WRX linkages on ebay for $20 or less, for the entire linkage. Then the Kartboy shift lever would work great, or just the WRX stock linkage as is would be a nice, cheap upgrade.

oops on the T
Richard can get you the adapter, it will work fine with a stock WRX linkage. IIRC, it's $40. Dave |
