I got my initial email from SOA in the same format as the one you shown. I have the VON and same delivery date. I got my VIN from the dealer with the update that is scheduled to arrive at the dealer Aug, 21. I wish Subaru had a better tracking system because waiting 3 months is agony considering many dealers around me have 19 STi with trim and color as my order.

I got an email from Subaru this week, saying my WRX was being loaded onto a train to make its way to a distribution hub and from there it will be loaded on a truck to make its way to the dealership. Itís getting closer!

They arent much brighter either since cool blue makes everything harder to see in the first place.

First mod disappointment. They dont allow reviews on their site for people to say they are cool blue white.

Cheapie bright white LEDs from ebay lasted the 6 years I owned my last WRX and were much brighter... but I dont want to risk not getting can bus certified LEDs on this car.
On my side, I'm satisfied and I really prefer them rather than the oem bulb.
I understand what you mean about the cool white but I don't have any other comparison point, so I'm ok with this tint so far.

I feel sorry for you and you should write to them and complain about their description.

Order placed June 2. My e-mails so far...
E-mail with order number and first estimate 'Last week of September' received June 3 (Welcome to the Subaru family)
E-mail of VIN and updated arrival 'on or before August 29' received July 20. (Your Subaru WRX is coming to life)
That's all I've heard so far. Haven't heard from my local dealer/salesman. Part of me wants to call him but it's not gonna get it here any quicker. So I wait knowing only a couple more weeks to go.

What an exciting time. I remember waiting for mine - took 10 weeks total. Got all the updates and emails and was pumped. It is sure worth the wait, enjoy.

Anyone traveling to get theirs from somewhere far away? Definitely one of the coolest experiences I ever had, picking up a brand new ordered STI and then instantly starting an 1100 mile drive home, solo. Just me and the car.

Break-in period was done in 2 days!

Anyone else notice the dark gray paint overspray on the inside barrels of the wheels? I looked at dealer photos at multiple dealerships and I see the same issue.

That's fine they want a lighter color for the inside of the barrels, but c'mon Subaru don't you guys have quality control? There shouldn't be dark gray paint overspray.....

As luck would have it I went to pickup and after going through all the financing etc the car had a passenger side seatbelt error that they said was not there the day before

Went home with a loaner Impreza sedan.

They called up today saying defective passenger seat occupancy sensor. Fix is to get a new seat here Thursday. Will be ready to go Thusrsday evening.

The exhaust sounded nice anyway.

Just picked up mine last Thursday and noticed the same thing. I would think the whole wheel including the barrels should be painted in the same color. See attached photos.

Inquiring the dealer about this. Waiting to hear from them.

Not too far, but when I picked up my 2017, I drove it from San Jose to Anaheim. I took the 101 down instead of the boring 5 so I could vary the RPMs and also enjoy some scenery.

My delivery date has been pushed back to August 24. I was hoping that it might arrive early but nope, just like the initial email stated, last week of August. The good news is that apparently I have a $500 loyalty coupon I can use that wasn't aware of. When i bought my XT it came with a Subaru gold warranty. The dealer was offering it "free" as a promotion. I got the car for under invoice so I was happy already. Apparently when you purchase a subaru warranty it comes with a $500 loyalty coupon.

Also, the reason i didn't receive those SOA order emails about my car was something to do with Google email system. On their end it shows deliverable. The rep stated its a common problem with GMail and I wasn't the first to call in about that.

Hey everyone! Just picked up a 2019 limited in CWP. Ordered at the beginning of June with a delivery date of August, then got my VIN near the end of July with an updated date of mid August. Pretty happy so far!

Hey Guys,
I just pulled the trigger and bought a 2019 Sti base in WRB over the weekend.
I got the short throw with it. Itís replacing a 2006 RSX type S with 120k miles on the OD.
Loving this new car and all the tech it comes with it. Canít wait to get through the break in period.
Long live the EJ!!!
Peace...

I see you guys getting early delivery, besting estimates by a week or so. These emails seem inconsistent for some of us. Went to the dealer to see if they had any better info. My last email was July 20, 'wrx coming to life' eta on or before Aug. 29. Dealer says my car is labeled 'released' with an arrival date of Aug. 22! Which is right along the lines with some of your stories, week before estimate. Way better than my original date of last week of September. My order was placed June 2.

Dude nice, I went from a 2002 Type S with 220k to a 2018 Sti base in WRB haha. Definitely a cool upgrade!

Really curious to hear your thoughts on the difference too. To me, my 16 year-old RSX still had a better sound system and shifted WAY better than the STI, but of course the STI beats it in every performance aspect and has a cool sportier interior IMO.
