No, we do not have a rotated setup.

We do offer a 2-bolt version of our manifold that will work with anyone's rotated 'kit'.

Keep in mind there is no standard 'rotated' setup. Every one is different, so a rotated manifold/up also requires a downpipe, custom intercooler tubing and inlet.

We also do offer our Spoolinator kit which is a great alternative to a rotated setup.

I'm going to be installing a rotated pedestal from turbokits on my Killer B headers for my project that I'm building. I don't have any actual data or experience to share yet, but it's an option. Just a thought.

I've seen that part for sale, it looks like a legit design. How well does it line up as far as inner diameters and bolt patterns are concerned? Looks like you would have plenty of EWG capability, lol!

It looks like it lines up pretty well. So far I have no complaints ..... though it has never been used. This is going to be on a special project. I think I will be running dual 38mm EWG's for a bit more precise controls under high pressure.

Got a dyno sheet of said results? Also, how much higher does the turbo sit in the engine bay?

SneakyFish here are my results: I think the turbo sits mighty nice.

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2854947

since then i have upgraded to to ID1700 and IAG aos. No final tuning yet, but my tuner believes 40-50hp was left on the table.

Your up pipe looks coated in this pic, but in the one with the huge hole it doesn't. Did you swap to uncoated or did the coating fall off?

Can't wait to get mine on the road, but I have a lot of custom'ing to do, lol.

If you are referring to my build, my killer bee header and uppipe are white lightning coated, everything else is black ceramic coated after mock up including the pedestal mount
That has the ewg

Yeah, I was referring to yours as the pic with the damaged pipe looks like bare metal and mine with swain coat has been legit for a few years now. I was wondering if the coat somehow came off, the pic is kind of dark.

If you want pretty, Swain Tech is not for you. They look terrible after use. They can even have pieces flake off; this freaks most people out, but it's only the decorative outer layer. The insulating layers seem to always stay adhered.

Here's a set of headers we make for a 911. The coating has 'pilled up', and it generally looks terrible. This is normal I still feel this is the best performing thermal coating you can get, and could care less about looks on the bottom of the engine.

I do wonder the bumps and drips are random, not consistently dispersed. Would be nice if they had some type of diagram explaining precisely how and why it happens...you know there are many people who wonder. Either way, the actual ceramic insulator is not going to be affected by the temps our headers see.

Didn't realize I was still subscribed to this thread

It's binders that come to the surface as they get hot. They come out more wherever there are thermal concentrations. The 911 manifolds get hot everywhere. On Subies, it tends to beat the collector and secondary.

Do you think that there will be any issues with using the Killer B header with a Cobb inconel uppipe?

Shouldn't be. If I remember correctly, they were made to work with the factory 2-bolt setup too.

I didn't think there would be problems, but so few people actually got those when Cobb was making them. Mine is sitting in a box, waiting to go on when the header is installed.

What is your take on getting the inconel up pipe coated as well (to go with a swain tech coated header from you guys)?

They are rare pieces for sure.

It certainly won't hurt. The coating is a thermal insulator. It doesn't care what the base metal is. It's less of an advantage for Inconel only because Inconel does not corrode to the same extent as other metals at temperature; one of its advantages. Any time you can remove exposure to oxygen at the metal's surface, you remove the possibility of oxidation/corrosion, which is why most thermal coatings are advantageous to the metal they are covering, beyond just the thermal benefit.

Our Swain-coated Cobb 625 uppipe is holding up pretty well after 8-9 years in service. Going to be installing another 625 uppipe on our RX-RA in the next few weeks as well.
