Hairspray on the inside of the hose where it connects to the Throttle Body. It allows the hose to easily slide on and fully seat to the TB. Then you tighten the clamp at the TB.

I do this connection as the 1st step, so there's room to tug on the hose to ensure it doesn't pull loose from the TB. This connection is the one that is most likely to come loose, so this is where I concentrate.

The hairspray, once dry, acts as a mild bonding agent between the hose and TB. I then proceed to connect the same hose to the IC output side, install the PW, and finally connect turbo to IC hose and clamps. Some people use the hairsprat on all the hose connections.

Finally, double-check that all clamps are tight, close hood, start car, and enjoy.

So far I have been lucky, as my PW tmic has not had any loose hose issues since installing about 3 months ago. BTW--just installed the GS EBCS and flashed TP stage 3 this afternoon...

It is really easy to install anyways but the hood scoop could be the tough part.

I am fabricating the arm extension from a piece of metal and the gasket is on order feom RSD. 90 dollars for a atupid gasket for next day are no thanks abs not worth the 70 dollars which is ridicolous.

Does this require any additional ecu retuning?

No it does not. Just more airflow and you build bigger boost. You can ask your tuner to do that via email than going in for a tune just for a change in tmic.

Great tmic and very tough to get now cause pw is always on backorder

I've used both and they were fine. the forge seals just like the oem.

Installed the PW on my '13 a couple weeks ago. Install was straight forward. No tuning was required.

This was EXTREMELY helpful. However mine was a knock off from this design and needed some minor fabrication thanks to a bag of assorted nuts, bolts, washers and some j-b weld but it was helpful hahaha

Thanks for posting this! I plan on using this guide for my install. I am still waiting on my order to come through (the estimated shipping date is the 28th, but I'm not holding my breath as it's already changed twice since I placed my order on the 14th). I can't wait to get this sucker installed

I actually received mine on Friday. Overall the build quality seems to be fantastic. I plan on installing it at some point tomorrow.

Edit: you know, I am going over the instructions and I just cannot figure out where to use these fasteners:

6 X M6 flange nuts (what are these used for? )

2 X M6 10mm allen key bolts + M6 flat washers (are these used to secure the bypass valve?)

I finally found some time to do my PW install. I have the TMIC installed but still have to finish the hood scoop. I don't know why, but this install was a major PITA for me. My biggest challenge was getting the transmission bell housing bolt off. I managed to break a socket wrench, but did eventually manage to get it off. I would definitely suggest NOT using a socket wrench to get this bolt loose. Maybe I should have used a breaker bar. Also, I had to re-route my BPV hose as it was not long enough after I got everything hooked up. On to the hood scoop! I will post some pics when I'm done.
