Ya it does i am just wondering if i can drive it as it is the only car me and my wife have at the moment and i need to drive to work tomorrow and they are not open on the weekends so i cant. Do it tell after work anyway the car seems to run just fine no goofy noises are anything. It just came on when i was driving about 25MPH

It's the secondary air injection system aka the airpump. The system has the pump (the black thing next to the driver side shock tower) and 2 valves. One sits on top of the starter. The other one sits in front of that one slightly under the manifold. You have a few options:
1: if it's under warranty, have the dealer replace it 2: if they don't warranty it and you want to remain stock, I'm selling mine (free, pay shipping) 3: if you want to mod your car, ditch the whole system. It will require aftermarket engine management (open ECU, Cobb AP, etc) to turn of CEL's though. |
