Opti Coat - http://prodetailing.blogspot.com/201...r-2-years.html

You might think that hell has frozen over since I'm posting about a car paint finishing product. But don't worry, I'm only posting because the claims made in that link seem to be outrageous. I haven't washed my cars in over a year and I don't plan to anytime soon. I just found this link intriguing because it says that Opti Coat is harder than the clear coat already on the paint. lolwut?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Apparently it's harder. But still scratches, and is more difficult to clean up?

Is this something that can be added later to clear coat?

A 6MT? Wonder if it's a beefy one. Too bad they got rid of the flared bodywork. Looks like crap.

we said that about GRs...

also the ceramiclear can be purchased at any ppg paint store. prep, spray and buffing is really time critical on it. i was looking into using that clear. the ceramic particles rise to the surface as the paint cures, it stratifies.

I an guessing that may be the power train but not the actual production bodywork. All they need to heat test is the power train. Going buy the cutout for the exhaust tips this car appears to not be the final product. Just a guess. Pretty boring otherwise.

I bet it's the same old 5sp +1 like they used in the Legacy GT.

It looks like there is a lot more body work to come since the scoop is just taped on and the exhaust comes through a crude bumper cutout.

I still think GRs without flared bodywork are ugly. So that hasn't changed.

I was down at Moore Performance yesterday dropping off my old motor. Ryan and Dale helped me get it out of the back of the truck and over to the work area. I am all set to drop off my new motor to switch over some needed parts and get it ready for final assembly.

Kenny even kept his bright green safety vest on during engine transport to our shop to ensure a safe commute! He went above and beyond to keep your EJ safe! Now have him lift you into the engine bay for a "Breakiron" photo.
