I spoke with Grimmspeed a few months and they said the cancelled the turbo kit project. I guess they didn't have enough interest in the kit and/or it was too much $$ to develop.

They claim to be so engineering focused and pretend like a bent piece of pipe takes years and years of research to design. When in reality, they are just a marketing focused company that for whatever reason, are incapable of building a turbo kit. Look at Cleetus Mcfarland. Dude runs 8s with a turbo kit that he built in a day lol. Grimmspeed would like to have you believe that if you dont buy their parts, something catastrophic could happen to your car or you wont get that last .03 hp. Its bull****, just like this alleged turbo kit. They can come on here a use the mob mentality and everyone can play pile on Ferretts, but wheres the turbo kit? Wheres the transparency? What type of a person says there gonna do something and doesn't follow through? They are essentially forum bullies who will bs you until they get your money. They were so desperate to prove how smart they were in one thread, they started bragging about how the one guy worked on developing a zumwalt destroyer. Really? Your gonna try to take credit for something that thousands of people helped create and was in development for the past 25 years!? They are liars and decievers, they dont deserve your money and this failure of a turbo kit is just one piece of evidence to prove it. |

They didn't build it, you're okay Ferretts. Don't let it hurt you. Adapt, improvise, overcome.

They did make a prototype kit that someone still runs. Makes roughly 500 to the wheels now, iirc.

Apparently Grimmspeed is the first and only company to ever start developing something, then scrap it at a later point in time. This is unacceptable!!! THEY MUST BURN!!!!

Matt Beenen (sp), one of their engineers, left there a while ago to go start another company. I’m pretty sure they’ve got one other guy there doing development work and clearly this niche product wasn’t economically feasible when he could be making high volume products instead.
That YouTube clown can make a turbo kit fast because he wasn’t working within very many constraints. He cut the whole body off and just dumped the exhaust into the air. Not much of a design and hardly the same as making a bolt on product. |

Interesting post... This is a strange way to get attention, just like it was last year when this happened. I was polite last time, but this time I think I'll just do everyone the courtesy and ignore the rant.
Sorry to everyone that got excited over the necro, but the fact remains that this project is exactly where I said it was in January 2018. We are not actively working on it. When I said it wasn't dead in the water that was completely true as I was still working on what would have been a cool joint project, but it did not work out. While the kit works great and is still out there making a lot of power, I was not comfortable at the time releasing it for production and this hasn't changed. See you all in 2020 when this thread gets necro'd again! Chase Engineering |

This car will be going up for sale at the end of the month. If anyone is interested shoot me a pm with your cell and I'll shoot you a text. I don't check this site daily so it may take a couple of days for me to get back to you. The car will be in Minnesota until mid August then Houston Tx after that.
Best Wishes. |
