Random Joy...

When my girlfriend moved in with us, her daughter did too for a while. She's a spoiled brat, but we like her. She left back in april-ish? Hadn't seen her in a while. She started staying a few nights a week again, and it's good having her around. GF is happy, and we feel like more of a complete family. Like nothing is missing. GF's other kids are adults.

Middle child is a high school baseball player. School hired a new baseball coach last year and we really liked him. Things happened and they didnít renew his contract. Weíve sat in limbo since May with no coach as an investigative was underway.

Today the school board finally let us announce our new coach. Middle child is excite!

After weeks of travel across time zones, and back-to-back colds which won't freaking die, I finally got a glorious 11hrs of straight sleep.

I feel better than I have in 6 weeks.

Iím selling this bike on Facebook marketplace for $1700. It is a little older, but was very high end when I got it.

I get this message.

I explain that, yes, while they are both green/black Cannondales, that is where the similarities end.

Sheís going on and on asking for the serial number of my bike and proof of purchase. I tell her hell no, they arenít even the same bikes. I look at her profile and find this gem.

She eventually must have sent the pic to her dad who said ďthat isnít my ****ing bike, you Juggalo.Ē because she apologized shortly afterward.

Well, you must have stolen his bike, converted it to a full suspension, added the Lefty and redid the wheelset, and then repainted the top tube just to make it a tiny bit different. Shifty!

And changed the downtube colors from black letters on green to green letters on black. A lot of work for a bike that was probably $600 new!

Random joy of the day:

While driving back through Golden after a ride I passed a parking lot that was clearly the site of a Honda Grom rider's club meeting. Maybe 6 Groms there and 3 normal-sized bikes. It was pretty awesome.

Ask her to have her dad contact you so he has an outlet to talk about the disappointment his daughter is. He probably needs that.

Joy 1: New desk finally delivered.
[Side note: Ashley furniture = actually pretty good.]

Joy 2: After a month of internetting from phone/tablet (paying bills, limited browsing, almost no OT) finally have a pc again. I don't do anything personal from the work machine.

Why do you need a cup to work with old people? Do they attempt to kick people in the balls or grope a lot?
