Default 3" tower lift

Has anyone put a 3"tower lift, and found a little problem with power steering hanging a little?

Tower lift??? Is that a brand I am not familiar with or are you referring to a strut top lift?

I just installed a 1" while replacing my rear struts and the car handles fine. My friend who installed said anything higher requires some work. If you have the money and time, go for it. I have 18" wheels and the inch makes the car have enough clearance for the flat land in New Jersey.
Sumů makes the 3" lift for a whopping 1200 bucks. I think Scorpion used to make them but if you shop on EBay, you will find a ton of cheap lifts but I chose the 1" inch from SJR because it maintains the original camber whereas the cheap ones will lift but alter camber.
My experience with my lift and 1" inch spacers in my wheels make the Baja look aggressive enough. My next accessory is the roof rack and I should be good.

Yes top mount, tower lift. They go on top of the crown on the strut. These are old terms. Understand there is new terminology/langauge. I apologize.

Got a top mount, brand CTS 3". Car is working fine, no mods needed. My problem was the rack and pinion coupling was starting to freeze on me. Sprayed it with pb&j blaster working fine.

In regards to the "cheap" lifts... I wouldn't trust em. I would go with either ADF, SJR or Sumo and probably nothing else. I have met Patrick Anderson of ADF and Scott R. or SJR personally and have seen what they can do regarding welding and engineering abilities. I have not met (I think Eric??) of Sumo yet, but the products appear to be sturdy.

I added a scorpion lift (2") to mine ten years ago, a little over three years ago I increased lift by adding Subtle Solutions 1" strut spacers, running General Grabbers 215/70 16's with over 187 k on the truck. It's truly a one of a kind.

I know, the truck is 12 years old, but I still get comment/questions. Keeping the rust at bay is a full time job, I'm thinking of getting another daily drive, and just running the Baja in the "non-salt" months

Does anyone know if anyone makes extended from away bar links for a Baja? Or of I can modify the rear kart boy sway links to the front?

Anderson Design and Fabrication has started making end links for lifted rigs. If you give them the specs I bet they could make you some.

How do you guys go with the extra angle of the drive shafts?
I was watching a youtube clip and the guy says that when you lift then the CVs wear quicker.
Im thinking of lifting my outback a couple of inches at most, 1 inch lift springs and then maybe a 1 inch lift kit (spacers)

I've only been through three front ones (1drv & 2pass) 190k on it now, less than 30k when 2" lift was installed, and it's been four years since I added a 1" strut spacer to the original lift

In comparison though.... I am still on my factory axles on all corners. 194K. I have re-booted the front ones once. Stock 2005 height.

Good comparison, Iíve got a drivers side one clicking , which will be replaced before cold weather sets in. Two & two 190k. Iíd have to agree, a lift does make them wear faster. Still worth it IMHO
