Stupid question...are number panels and windshield banners supplied at the track or was I supposed to get something in the mail?

ATL is a great way to start, that's an awesome event. I know there's talk of more East Coast stuff, just been let down by the low car counts in previous events and years.

I think Time Attack is on the upswing though, so who knows what will happen next.

They used to have more East Coast events, then economy took a crap and things dwindled. Then they paired up with the FD circuit and have been gun shy to come back as turn out on the East coast was lower.

It's no surprise as there were fewer time attack 'spec' series on the west coast as the east. So east guys stick with NASA TT largely which pending how the went on the rule book , they're screwed in TA. It has seemed to be picking up at ATL events in years past though.

Correct, TT does not cross over well to TA and vice versa.

I still think TA will primarily be a West Coast thing due to the closer Japanese influences of Motorsport.

We need more east coast stuff! I still think VIR is one of the best tracks in the country, and would be great for a major time attack event. Maybe GTA could piggyback off of the world challenge race weekend?

That would be very cool, minus the 32hr tow from AZ

Would be tough getting the core of the West Coasters out there since California would be about 40hrs one way.

That became one of the other divides early on was that they had a heavy bias to west coast when the series was a series for points.

There are also some great tracks in the middle of the country. Road America, COTA, Mid Ohio...why not?

I think you'll find VIR is a little longer than a 40hr haul from CA, probably realistically around 50 hours if your pulling straight. It takes 42 hours to ATL going straight through for me and I was beyond every states speed limits at over 90% of the time.
