This is correct. Our 3.5" double wall tips are 100% in-house hand crafted. No other company manufactures a similar tip that fits our needs (and everyone's taste). We have experimented with many design variations for these in an attempt to drive the cost down, and are still working to find a way. However, as it stands currently, accounting for material alone forces a steep price. On top of that each pair of tips takes roughly 3 hours to fabricate.

At $150/pair we are barely breaking even, not counting overhead. This is unheard of in any market, from chewing gum to sky-scrapers, there is always mark-up. Once we found a way to consistently build these we set the price and made them available. The demand for this option is so great that delaying the release simply wasn't an option.

As I said previously, we are still working to bring the cost and overall price down on these. In the mean time we will continue to offer the option and those that have them can bask in the exclusivity

I'm willing to accept this but don't you have to also build your 3 inch tip or do you buy those? A 3.5 inch tip uses a 150 bucks more of material than the 3?

It's great to hear that the systems are well manufactured with good materials. Now I'm definitely going to be picking one of these up. I appreciate the videos that you posted as well. I wasn't sure if I should go for the Magnaflow option or the 5" mufflers. I was looking for the exact rumble your car has, and the pops from the non resonated midpipe are a bonus.

Anyone here have luck with matting a cheap aftermarket midpipe to the nameless axlebacks? I've heard of people running Tsudo midpipes but don't know how they think of it.

Does any one have a sound clip of a full muffled turboback? I'm talking mid-pipe muffler along with either 4-5" mufflers on the axleback.

Catback with prototype mid-pipe muffler and 4" axle back muffler replacement with staggered dual tips, on my Forester (aka - old man quiet):

The sound quality is AMAZING. NO DRONE at all. Comfortable for my wife and two babies. Coming from a 2011 STI stock exhaust, this is a god send. That exhaust droned like crazy. Jason and the Nameless team are working wonders out in the pacific northwest! The material and build quality is outstanding as well.

This arrived yesterday.

2011 STI sedan cat-back
Resonator in mid pipe

It's going on this week. Photos and a sound clips will follow. I'm excited.

Can't see the pics, did you mean resonator and 5" muffler in the midpipe plus two 5" mufflers in the axle back?

I have owned both iterations of their axle back—the muffler delete and the 4" muffled axle back. Unfortunately, both were too loud for me. I'm guessing this combo will be exactly what I need.

Also, for those members who are hesitant about adding the 3.5" double walled tips to their order for an additional cost—they are beautiful. As Guy mentioned above, the tips are made entirely in-house and are worth every penny of the cost.

Yeah I'm ridiculously interested in the full turbo back with all the mufflers hoping its a bit quieter than my Agency Power system. Can't wait for the sound clip!

Real pics and video to follow, but I just want to say that this sounds absolutely perfect (to me).

I installed it last night, and it is by far, the most refined, deepest tone system that I have heard from Nameless. Again, I have owned both the muffler delete and the 4" muffled versions of the axle back. Their mid pipe with 5" mufflers combined with the axle back with 5" mufflers is ideal for keeping things tame in the car but still providing a fantastic deep rumble that we all want/need.

I'll be providing a full review soon.

You're not from NJ by chance are you? I'd love to hear this setup in person.

I'm really close to pulling the trigger on the axleback with 3.5" staggered tips with 4" mufflers for my hatch. Does anyone in Socal near OC or Artesia/Cerritos have the new version yet? Or even the older one? I just want to hear it in person. Let me know, I'd be willing to drive to you if you're not too far.

Difficult to answer as I did not weigh each section with a scale prior to installation. However, each axle back is significantly lighter than the stock mufflers. The mid pipe is 3" so it will obviously weigh more than the stock mid pipe. Overall it may be around the same total weight.

Pull your mufflers off real quick and drive it around. It will sound exactly like the old version. Only takes about 15 minutes.

Sounds like a good idea, I'll try that over the weekend.

Now my other issue is that it seems like I can either get the Nameless axleback or a TurboXS GT CBE for roughly the same price. From what I've read, it seems like the Nameless has better build quality, and some people have had rattling issues with the TurboXS. That said, I do like the tips better on the latter. So torn haha.
