I'll be at both, with hopefully better then a second and third place finish respectively (last months results)!

Yeah, they seem to only be about a half a year off on their development prediction.....hope they're worth it for ya. Good luck with the stockers........

Well good luck. Doesn't seem like anyone has put the 09-10 on the map yet nationally and the time is ticking since the '11 will relegate those to "also rans" real quickly.

I wish there was an affordable option, but there isn't. The car needs shocks too in the worst way.

I'll be at the Pro in STR. We had a breakthrough with the car last weekend, so I'm hoping to be a bit more competitive than I was at ET and SD. I see Motonishi is not signed up yet... maybe he will give us all a break and not come!

Ah, but there is.......LGT Konis, as I have on mine. $650 and a little bit of machine work. Night and day better than the stockers. If you're not aware, but interested in the option, PM me to keep this thread on topic.

money and time.. time mostly. I might take a cursery glance at airfare, see what the going rate is.. It'd be fun to try the Subie out against those pesky spec-civics at a Pro, for sure

Good luck Doug, saw you registered. But yeah, you should totally try to do the pro and get some advantage over those civics. I didn't look to see who's registered, but it'd be sick if you put up a good fight against some of the top civics (going to look now).

Do you have properly sized tires (i.e. 255 and not 245) on the car yet?

Of course, 255/40/17 Hancook RS3s. We put those on the day before the Pro and proceeded to completely under drive the car. Two weeks ago, I was able to practice on the tires and get the car (and driver) better setup for the Hancooks.

I see Ken is now signed up for the Pro. I think at El Toro, he was at least a second a side ahead of me. If he does that again, I think I will just shoot myself!

Awesome choice! I'm on the 'kooks as well and absolutely love 'em.

I'll send you a pm shortly...

Looks like a protest in H-Stock against the Toyota truck stuck....anyone know what happened?

Edit: looks like something about Appendix A and ProSolo Rule 20.8.1 cars not being eligible to run a Tour....we'll get some more details shortly!

fun time at the tour. Was nice seeing the FP sti and some other nice Suby's.

I was stuck trying to find a car to drive at the last second. mine still isn't together and I wouldn't have been confident with it had I finished it late thurdays.

Ended up co-driving a s2k in BS and failing. Fun as$ car to drive, but not easy to learn the limits of in just a few runs. The cones I didn't even know I hit didn't help either.

Gonna be driving out again for the Pro. Not really sure what I'll end up racing, but not my car.

PS, Doug, never got a chance to talk to you. I was one of the guys hanging out by the grey evo for most of the event. Your rs is the cleanest, prettiest one I've ever seen!

Interesting about that Tacoma...

I wouldn't expect it to be that close to Jacobs...

Broken car on day one ftl. Tried my hardest to drive around the major problems with the car but couldn't get it done. Bandaid fixes on saturday night worked for sunday and took top time in BS, but not nearly enough to make up a 1.1 second deficit. Thanks to all who helped us out.

Tons of grip on the concrete, with power and a great driver driving it made the Tacoma competitive. Kinda silly how he was protested once he was in contingency after all the national events he's ran in the truck...

I don't know who protested, but there were a couple of east coast guys that I don't think he has run against.

Personally, even though it is a lot more likely to bump me out of trophies than one of the top Mini guys, I'd like to see it run at nationals. Maybe they can get it classed ASAP and that could happen?

yeah, it was a classing issue
bummer that the SEB (or whoever makes those decisions) dropped the ball on Tagles/Sim's requests to officially class the thing (as long ago as last year, iirc) and now they're paying the price for it. really not very cool at all.

I will add though that Tunnel handled the issue very very well (I overheard the discussion, he was the bearer of the bad news). he's a great asset to our community, I was very impressed.
