It must be the lighting from being indoors. It doesn't seem that dark to me normally, but you're right it does look pretty dark here. Maybe I'm just used to it

My .02, make your rear window darker, so cars cant see in, headlights dont blind you, we have a lot of lifted trucks where i am. Its pretty annoying, plus i dont like that people can see my ati pod and gauges.

I guess I'm just a sucker for one darkness, looks a lot cleaner in my mind. 35% is in my mind the threshold between too dark and too light. seems to function and look the best in my experience, but then again I like to see outside at night. where I live, during the winter months it gets dark by 430ish pm, so I do a lot of night driving.

I posted in bugeye thread so sorry to other bugeye wagons. Should I paint my dog legs when I do my sideskirts? I wasn't going to but the hawkeye above with the teal wheels makes me want to

I never tinted before. But I'm thinking really dark in the rear and progressively lighter upfront! I'd love to just black it all out but I heard the cops would be all over me here in NY... is the visibility that bad at night?

If it's blacked out, yes! You will HATE backing up for sure, and won't be able to see much of anything out your rear view at night.

Wow ok second thoughts for sure about darker tint, Thanks assasain. I drive mostly at night (work at night) but I do want tints badly now, we'll see!

Oh ya and Gable that is downright pretty in northern Ontario? And I'm interested in your light setup. Laminex on the fogs? What about the brights?

Its even worse if you have the autodimming mirror like I do. I think my windows are tinted to 25 or 30% and I can't see much out the back at night.

Yeah it came out looking good, no cracks on the visible side of the fender. I didn't use a heat gun, I probably should have, oh well.

I've done this when I had to move my car and the hatch was open anyway, so much easier than seeing out of 5% tint.

im running 20% tint all around (except windshied) and have no visibility problems 99% of the time. in very dark places, it can be hard to see anything out the side windows in the front at night.

installed my DIY honeycomb grille today.
