Busted AC, alternative shop to dealer?
Okay, the AC on my WRX wagon is busted. It won't generate any cool air and the compressor makes a hissing noise when it's on. It's probably blown. This is actaully the second time I've had problems with my AC. The car came from the factory with a leak in the compressor and the compressor had to be replaced.
I ldon't want to hike the car all the way to Carlsen in Redwood City to have them spend a day diagnosing it and then tell me that I have to come back to get the compressor replaced. Instead of going to the dealer, are there any independent shops that I can try? I'm out of warranty so I don't need to be attached to the dealer anymore. Zaid
