sweet build... I dont think the HTA86 will get it done up here. Is this my old destroyed block? I think you need to get bigger headstuds. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if you lifted the heads at 40psi using the standard sized l19's.

Why not a new borgwarner efr? Lowmount twinscroll efr would be sweet.

I've been throwing around a few ideas on turbo selection and mount set up, which is why in my parts list it says *undecided* and I don't believe this is your old block I purchased this one off a buddy of mine in Denver. I used to live in Littleton till around oct. of last year I don't know if I've seen you around or not.

L19's on evo's have held 50+ psi for days. And they are same diameter.

Not sure where the old block he bought from you went but this is a different one.

Considering new BW but might not want to wait on release time.

Thing is...
The 4g63 head studs are way way way shorter than the subaru ones.
So the shorter they are, the more likely they are not to snap/crack.

I've snapped two ARP std ARP studs in the past. I am hoping these L19s do it for me.

VS.

Yeah not sure... I thought this may have been the block that Will bought from me for a friend of his a couple years back.

Who did the machine work on this block?

Ill have to come check this car out. When youre done we will have to see where my little ej207 stands in comparison! I still need to go back and turn the boost up in the tune though.

I would go with a Autronic the AEM is nice but it seems to be somewhat problematic for our cars. I have never heard of any problems with the autronic on subaru's but it seems like the AEM boxes have a few. This is coming from my experience with AEM ems. I wish I could afford to switch over to autronic.

Good luck with the build!

Will who? I got this block from a kid named Brian? Yea I think aem is out of the question, leaning more towards motec for my ecu. I will for sure make a few of the drags in bandi. I will more than likely drive it to the track, run 9s then drive it home...... Well that's what my goal is, to show that a subaru can run nines and still be driven back and forth. I'll be having my crank and other bits ordered here after I get off work on the 23rd.

I'm hoping he will go with Motec instead of the AEM.

Just ordered my crank today! Hopefully it comes next week. Will post pics upon arrival. Almost ordered MAperformance head studs (L19s). Wanted to do some research first. I caught wind that they are petter than ARP L19s. Any input?

Be carefull on oversized Headstuds on subarus. When Heads are ported the wall between the headstud bore and the ports get very thin and tend to want to blow out.

I guess these ones are "drop in". So I am guessing that they are not oversize.

Not sure what types of pics you want but it basically looks stock. I did a few things to make it stand out because there are a few WRBs running around and didnt want to get mixed up. Let me know if there is any kind of pic you were wanting.

Check Syvecs out for an ECU, nearly all big power Subarus are using them in UK now. http://lateralperformance.co.uk/sect...s_syvecs_ecu_s

Really is amazing piece of kit

Just got the L19s today. They are MAPerformance L19s which are manufactured by A1 technologies. Crank was ordered along with a P+L race 11mm oil pump.

^^^Good choice but make sure you check to see how far the o-ring is going to stick out of the deck surface, since the stock gskts(iirc)are .022 or .024, not sure ,I don't think you would want the o-ring to stick out more than .010.
