Moving along. Radiator,ic pipes, catch can with -an lines, fuel lines/rails/fuel psi reg, and opened the bumper up a bit more. AEM v2 showed up as well. Waiting on heat wrap, turbo blanket, and foil tape to show up. Here in the next few weeks he will be ordering materials to do the roll cage.

Are you worried at all about heat with the turbo so close to the engine/timing covers/cam gears?

Thanks hopefully here in 3 weeks or so we should be starting it and getting some break in done. Then gotta pull motor and install the inner valve springs as per the cam break in. Then once the motor is out I will have the engine bay shaved and painted.

Nice setup!! I have Gsc s3 cams with same supertech spring kit...never saw someone install inner spring after break in...I think you be fine installing both while breaking I'm the motor...you plan on wrapping your downpipe ? It's close to the I/C piping and could make the intake temps rise

Ill have to do the research again I suppose. That is correct down pipe/exhaust will be wrapped. I/C pipes will be wrapped with gold heat foil along with my timing covers.

Nice fab'n , is the maf still in the intake? I ask because I thought it was tricky to tune unless there was a decent straight section between the sensor and the filter . Like 6-10"

Id imagine with the aem he is going to run speed density so even if the maf was in intake pipe which i bet it isnt it wouldnt matter. the maf would just provide the ecu with an inlet temperature.

In reference to the "outer springs only",
I messaged GSC and here is the response:

Hey Christopher,
Which spring kit do you have? Do you know the seat pressure? Typically you need to run just the outer spring for break in, and I would recommend that. I know it’s a huge PITA, but its what needs to be done to do it right.
Keep the revs around 2-2500 for the first 20 minutes or until the oil temp is all the way up, don’t let it idle. You need to keep the oil pressure/flow high in the heads.

Thanks,

And then ........ Chris,

For the super techs I would say you are fine for the break-in with both springs. They will work fine and donít have crazy seat pressure. Just make sure that there is assembly lube on all the moving parts and that the oil pressure is high-keep the revs up off idle.

Thanks,

I'm appalled you think we would run a MAF on a build of this caliper. We're running 5 bar map sensor.
