Depends on the final product. And how long it will last. I don't want them to turn pink :/

Done properly, paint should not turn pink and should be permanent.

Done properly, your taillights will have between 7-10 tint coats and 3-5 clear coats.

s13duy or something like that is an "Authorized Blue Batmobile" installer out of Malden.

Know anyone that paints them? I've looked into the bluebats, seems decent. May go overlay first then get them painted if the tint looks crappy.

Custom Body shops. My body shop will do them but they're out of Malden.

Expect $200-300 to have your taillights tinted red by a body shop.

That was me man, you Rollin in the wagon with the lime green wheels?

Also to anyone wondering about tinting lights, buy one can of 10 dollar VHT NITE SHADES. Take your lights out wipe them with dry cloth to remove debris and then lightly coat them til you get the color you want. NO NEED to spend more then 20 bucks on a blacking out of lights. As far as red tint goes I have no idea, but I have seen YouTube videos and it looks easy.

Tinting lights is easy. Having them look good and last is a whole different story.

Put a taillight with NightShades next to my taillights and you'd immediately tell why.

I've done nite shades to all my lights in the past 3 cars I've owned and the wrx I have now is only one I really take care of and the shades lasted just fine on the others? Idk obviously results vary. Either way I'm sure they look sick

That seems high even for a dynapac. I was just curious because there aren't that many dynapac around so it's hard to get comparison numbers. Of course any dyno is just a way of comparing 2 itself and help with tuning. now you just gotta get your car up to the track and see what it can do.

On the topic of taillight overlays, just dont lol. They are TERRIBLE imo. Nothing beats a properly painted light.

Vision is right about nightshades vs real paint. Nightshades can be done alright, proper paint and clear can be made flawless. A few coats of clear and some proper paintwork and you cant even feel a seam if you only do a section.

As an edited benefit you can wax your tails after and they are a mirror finish!

Yeah the foresters rocking the green winter set up. I didn't get close but the Flat paint looked good under the lights. How bout that tool in the riced out accord, running the lot with under glow trunk open bumping his system at max volume... coolest dude EVER!

Ordering my plastidip friday!

And to chime in on the subject, paint is the best way to go for tail lights. BUT, when nightshade is done right it can look pretty damn good
