Air intake resonator removal mod
I have done this mod in 2001 and have been driving my car without that snorkel piece and resonator. If I think about it, I believe snorkel helps to put more air into the intake (by directing incoming air to filter) as oppose to sucking warm air from engine bay. You lose cool air sucking noise and may add restriction on incoming air, but I think there is benefit of having these pieces on.
What is your thought on putting resonator & snorkel back to on?

Better with than without for sure.
If you want sound, you'd be better cutting off the resonator from the elbow and then block the hole with something. But I would still leave an opening for debris and water to fall before they reach the filter. kind of like the GP moto delete elbow but with holes in it. |
