Default Hydra Ems

Hey guys the car is pretty much done, we have a couple more small things to be done, and then it will be off to the dyno to get her tuned. Once we have that done we will be hitting the track to shake her down, and dial her in.

Speaking of tuning, we just got our Hydra EMS from our friends over @ Element Tuning. We chose Hydra for a few simple reasons. The Hydra EMS should allow us to fine tune the engine so we don't run into any tuning issues and will allow us to dial in the motor at each event we participate in. Function for function, the Hydra EMS is the best bang for the buck as it is almost 4 times cheaper than most EMS's out there and offer the same tuning capabilities. The new software is much more user-friendly than the previous versions and is much faster to tune. Element Tuning provides pre-programmed base maps for most Subaru applications making this a TRUE plug-and-play EMS. The Hydra EMS is also the only EMS that offers full DBW support for 2004-2010 Subaru's and fully closed loop AVCS control for both intake and exhaust cam timing.

Big thanks to Phil over @ Element Tuning for getting us the HYDRA in record time!

Here are the pics!

Default WP Pro Big Brake Kit

Fresh from the factory, our WP Pro big brake kit arrived just in time. We will be running one of the freshest braking systems out there, for any car, hands down! Our WP Pro system consists of the following.

Front Axle:

336mm x 30 x 46mm rotors with L8 Calipers

Rear Axle:

334mm x 30 x46mm rotors with S6 calipers.

Thats right boys and girls, 8 pistons up front, with a lightweight forged caliper, and a 6 piston setup in the rear! This was a custom set, specifically built for our time attack car. Some of the modifications include:

-Lightened calipers, heat treatment, carbon nitride treament and cross drilling for ventilation

-Balanced rotors up the the equivalent of 224mph

-Lightened rotor hat assembly, with the front rotors weighing in UNDER 13lbs.

-Air grooves in the pad backing plates for increased cooling

-Custom color

Above all, these brakes are built for superior performance on the track. With the backing of race proven technology, WP Pro will aide us in being the leader on the track.

Unfortunately, there are not many updates have been made to the car mainly because we are still missing an engine. I'm sad to say that we won't be make the New Jersey event because of this. If it finally goes our way, we should be tracking and testing the car in 2 weeks.

The good news is we have all the other major components minus wing( should be in next week).

Don't forget to check out http://www.thmracing.com for updates as well. We have pics of the wheels and brakes on and getting ready to make some custom over fenders. The splitter and diffuser are being custom made out of carbon fiber and curing as we speak at Project X!

Cheers

Default WP Pro x Forgeline x Toyo

Hey Guys,

We just installed our WP Pro Big Brake kit, and the Toyo R888 wrapped Forgeline EV3R's. Now keep in mind when you see these pics, that our Stance coilovers have yet to be installed, and our over fenders are in the process of being made. We will post updated pics once we have all that.

Check out the pics and let us know what you guys think!

That looks so hot! We tried to connect with the guys @ Varis USA, we got no response. The Version Select guys have been very supportive of this project, I think everyone is going to fall in love with this car when they see it finished!

Brakes by WP. They manufacture for AP Racing.

Cage will be getting re-done to SCCA spec as that's where the car will be racing. You can blame RTA for their cage rules on that one.

April 15th marked the arrival of our long awaited custom wing from Kognition Design. Mike @ Kognition produced our wing with the precision of a surgeon, and from the pics, you’ll see the dedication that went into making this wing for yourself. The quality of this piece far surpasses anything on the market, and the chassis mounted design ensures absolute structural integrity. The addition of this wing to our STi is two fold, increasing both safety and performance. We cant wait to feel the difference this masterpiece makes on our car.

Shout out to Mike @ Kognition Designs

Email us some pics to [email protected]. I actually would love to work with you after our first RTA event, as this car will see SCCA races and not that much RTA. We are going to have the cage re-done regardless, so it would be great to work with ya to go by the rules.
