Finevu Cr-500HD It is hardwired to the car so it is always recording and when the car is off if it senses vibration or movement it starts recording. It automatically powers off if the cars voltage drops below a certain point so you will still be able to start the car You can not see it at all from drivers seat.

Here is some video.

How much and where'd you buy from? I found it on Amazon for $370. Pricey, but seems to be really good quality.

Looks good, but you may want to mute your phone because you can hear all the texting going on and if you got in an accident that could potentially be used against you.

It was the passenger in the car but I guess there is no way to prove that if I needed to.

Looks like the dashcam to get, video looks great and the telemetry looks useful but damn it is pricey!

Looks Nice! What's the wiretapping laws over there in Vegas? I muted mine here WA because I didn't want to notify whomever was in the car or outside in an event of an accident that I had a DVR.

I'm not sure. I guess I could remove the audio if something were to happen.

$320 is a little pricey. But not too bad i guess.

So its always recording? Where do the files go and how big are they?
Curious because this is a neat Idea if I could afford the hard drive space, etc....

Do you have an install instructions? how hard was it?

Thanks

and about how long does it record without overwriting data? i tried to search but all i came up with was "it records for awhile with out overwriting"

i did see you can put a 32gb card in it. so id probably do that.

Depends on how it is compressed and the format.

It was ridiculously easy. I've never had a install go so smooth before. I could probably do it in 15 min if I had to do it again.

How often do you download the data or does it wipe itself?

It records in 3 min clips and they are roughly 300mb so that will help you get a better idea

so thats about 2.75 hours before it starts recordering over. and of course double that for the 32gb card.

not too bad i dont think.

I have one of these, got mine from Blackboxmycar.com as well, have two mounts so I can just move it between my cars. Couldn't be happier with it so far.

It records in 3 minute long loops, and when it runs out of room on the card it records over top of the oldest Data.

OP: I like your placement, I have mine on the other side of my rear view mirror, but yours looks a lot better.
