31 here... bought my WRX off the showroom floor in 2002. Hopefully it won't be long before it's back on the road.

33 now and my 07 STi only has 18,800 miles I need to start driving it more since it has been my weekend toy since I bought new in 07.

AP V2
Clark Tuned at 21psi (aggressive tune)
Cobb Catted DP
Perrin Duel Tube Single Tip CBE
K&N Drop In
kartboy SS w/all bushings
Eibach Pro Springs
Eiback 25mm Sway Bars (front/back)
Kartboy Endlinks
Pro Alignment
Eibach Rear Camber Bolts

I'm going to continue to drive it this way till the motor goes. In about 4 years I will buy another subie and turn this one into a track car. I run data logs at least once a month to ensure everything is good.

I'll be 30 in 5 months and I just bought my first WRX from the showroom floor. I don't regret it at all.

Here is a list of other cars that I was considering...

BMW 335i (used)
2006+ Audi S4 (used)
2009+ Audi A4
2001-2003 BMW M5
2001-2006 BMW M3
2011 Ford Mustang GT
2008+ Infinity G37S

These were the top runners for me. Why did I opt for the WRX? Simply put, the BMW/Audi cars to me were going to be a nightmare to own after the warranty was up. IN some instances, for the money that it would cost me to get into a clean, not necessarily low mileage 335i, I bought the WRX fully loaded with a warranty. I feel that the WRX is the most versatile of the bunch listed above in terms of practicality. Sure, the interior of the ones listed above is much nicer than in the WRX, but it's something that doesn't even phase me every time I get in the drivers seat.

33 with an 07 STi. 103k mile on the odo

Running strong on E85...

Most of my friends don't get it though. They've succomed to the BMW, Lexus, etc...what I call the vanilla cars. Why be boring when you can have this much fun . The boxer rumble and getting shoved back in my seat when I mash the throttle doens't get old

32, lowered, bronze Enkeis, STI skirts and scoop, stage 2, 3" turboback, etc, etc.
I too have noticed that the most comments I get come from high school boys. The bugeye is definitely not a chick magnet, but my 4-year-old girl LOVES my car, and my wife just sent me to Team O'Neil last weekend. WIN.

31 here. My wife is pregnant with our first child, and Im wondering about your experiences with fitting car seats in the WRX. Do they fit? Do only some brands fit?

I have a Britax car seat for my 3 year old in the back and a booster for my 8 yr. old. No problems with fit. My kids love going for a spin in the STi

must be your first... you can reach the kid better if they're on the passenger side.

I've had several different styles of seat in mine with no problem. They tend to get a laugh in the back seat of the "sports car."

With a new born in the carrier (rear facing, obviously), behind the passenger seat, the seat isn't up too far. When they switch to the rear facing car seat, then the front seat is up pretty far. Once the car seat gets switched to front facing, you can put the seat as far back as their little legs allow you to.

There is no way a car seat would fit behind the driver's seat comfortably unless you drive on top of the wheel. We just had our 2nd, and all I have in the WRX is the front facing car seat- and as his legs get longer the front passenger seat keeps getting pushed up more and more...still plenty of room though.

30+ with 2011 hatchback wrx. For you car seat the newer body 08up has a lot of room for car seats. I have a true fit premier rear facing car seat and that thing is a big seat. The newer imprezas also have back doors that open very wide. It helps geting the rascals in and out.

28 here with 2004 STi. Fmic, 20g, headers, down pipe, catback, dworks injectors, walbro fuel pump, Tein coilovers, 18" wheels...booster seat in back! Weekend car, or rainy day excursions to big empty parking lots.

Same here. I have a baby trend infant seat in the rear pass seat of my wrx...no real issues with legroom in the front unless my passenger is a six footer or more.

I would have bought a Recaro baby seat, but when we went to get the seat for the WRX we ended up getting the floor model of the same seat we already had in the wife's car. Couldn't justify spending the extra money at that point

agreed - i find the recaro seats to be massive and IMO horribly overpriced.

47, and have my first WRX - an '07 Limited. Visually - stock, wheels, everything - stock. Stock height - had my fun with lowered VW's - love the stock height for winter driving.

Open Source Stage 2 with Grimspeed BCS, catted downpipe mated to a Lachute Performance Exhaust. Two tone leather interior - looks and sounds great, could not be happier.

My wife just bought me a T-Shirt that says "Still Plays with Cars"......and I do.

Enjoy your rides
