Lightbulb Cobb Stage 1 Flash for stock/mostly stock

I am considering a stage 1 map for my stock 2004 WRX, and when I was looking at some dyno tests, it seemed like the major improvements were at 3500 and higher. Seems reasonable.

I'm also considering a warranty-friendly catback exhaust.

But what can I do to get a little more low-end power... more 3000-4000 power?

as a side note, I'm totally seeing myself start to go overboard here... I'm NOT a motorhead... but I can't help myself. Before I destroy my new car, I need to get some learnin' under my hat... suggestions for good references?

About the only thing that I can think of for abit of low end and "warranty-friendly" would be a gutted stock uppipe. Much like the reflash is hard to detect, a gutted stock uppipe will be hard to notice. Heres a how to http://webpages.charter.net/baraboo_...ppipe_fix.html

As for references, well this place is a real good one. IMHO its the best But you may wanna check out http://www.scoobymods.com/index.php http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/ i-club.com

Hahahah, that's what I said...you'll be swapping in new turbos in 6 months!

"Oh I care about the warranty" --famous last words.

Good luck...this place is a huge resource, just make sure to set the search engine to "Any Date" when you search. The default setting of 30 days is not that helpful.
