What mvstype forgot to mention is that that's mid 12s in the 1/8th mile.

I've run 15.4s @ 89.48mph. Looking on the Subaru 1/4mi Registry there are WRXs that are in that same ballpark for trap speed or even a little slower, so I'm pretty happy with that. The ET isn't that great because my aluminum flywheel doesn't let me launch worth a damn - I think my 60' times have all been in the 2.1x - 2.2x range, while even stock WRXs are in the 1.8x-1.9x range.

As for the twisty stuff, I'll happily make the claim of fastest Legacy. And everyone's welcome to come out to Hawaii to prove me wrong.

The fastest Legacy in a straight line i can think of is a 91 that a guy in Canada had some years ago. He had it up for sale and kinda disappeared from the radar.

It had a rebuilt EJ22T with a worked stock turbo, intercooler and ~20PSI of boost with a DIS-2 and misc other mods.

I have been cought mid 12's are 1/8 mile maybe even 1/32 mile.

I thought the same thing that KD7000. This isn't the forum that poeple not overly concerned with 1/4 mile times. I thought I would have some fun with it.

My car has enough power to get me on the highway safely. That the only speed I need.

Cool

Based on my calculations, the Radio Flyer should run:

1/4 mile time: 9.02s
Trap speed: 199.35 mph

Of course, those times involve finding a cliff that is a quarter mile high and driving off it.

haha- mid 12's in the 1/8mi maybe

5900' elevation
65F
Humidity? probably low

'98 2.5GT

[email protected]

So it's an easy mid 15sec car at sea level @ ~88mph, and could be a low 15sec car at sea level with a decent (<2.0s) 60' time

NOT the fastest by any means.... but only the second person to put any real #'s up

The GT's going up fer sale soon, and a turbo'd AWD car will take it's place (manufacturer/model up in the air - but a 5spd Legacy 2.2T is prefered)

It is the same Legacy Turbo that we picked up for Elizabeth in September. Highly modded and will run 13s at 12 psi. Sweet car, needs a little work, but all the important pieces have under 10,000 miles on them.

I know I saw a T/C'd 2.5 BD Legacy on here before, he has all sorts of work done to his car but I haven't seen him post in a while. I'm sure he has some good numbers. All I remember was that it was white sedan, and he had some good interior/exterior/engine pics that I droole dover. Anyone remember this guy or know him?

What about Craig99_GT (TC'd 99 GT) or motoswapsleeper (supposed, still waiting for pics, engine swap from a 22b, with some kind of twin turbo setup), I imagine they are quick.
There is a big diff between quick and fast, I prefer fast (good all around acceleration, handling, and top speed).

Eibach Pro-kit springs
KYB GR2 struts
Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar

Primitive Enterprises rear diff guard
Yokohama AVS ES-100 tires size 225/50/16

Hella 4000 Eurobeam lights (pair on front)
Red stars badge
Very custom tint (sort of one way mirror + black on that. 2 layers)

JDM WRX front seats (v5 maybe... gray suede, black cloth)
Custom EJ20 emblem (www.YourEmblem.com)
Hood and light protection from www.RockBlocker.com

ICE:
hahaha... uh, NONE!!!
I have less stereo than stock!... except for the exhaust and turbo sounds, of course.

(Sorry for random stuff on there, I just copied and pasted it). I'm not a 1/4 mile-type guy so much either. I've hit a few autocrosses and went to the 1/4 track once just to find out what it runs [GHETTO track in my hometown didn't even have a timer though, so that was a waste except for beating the other car].

I do plan on running a VF22 and supporting mods as soon as I can save up the cash... which is tough for a BROKE college student. I'll stop when it's very very low 12's or high 11's

Sounds like a pretty sweet car. Hopefully mine will be as cool when i get it done. I'm probably going to shoot for high 12's at first and then try to get it down into the low 12's when i get everything the way i want it.

I knew somebody would eventually get courious. Bad monkey ! Just kidding.
I have a 96 legacy sedan ls trim with auto currently. Just a little history on my project: I bought the car a year and a half ago with the intent of modding it. Originally wanted a impreza, but couldn't find one, and then i stumbled across this car and was VERY impressed, so i bought it. I had pretty much just got out of my 91 sentra se-R that i had installed a jdm pulsar sr20det in. I wanted something that was more of a sleeper.

First engine plan-bought an entire 93 turbo legacy sedan w/5mt
Didn't like it-

Second engine plan-bought an entire 95 svx for the H6 3.3 swap. Didn't fit very well

Third engine- Bought an entire 02 wrx wagon-got paranoid the 5mt wouldn't hold the power i wanted...

Fourth and hopefully final engine plan - 03 jdm wrx sti non RA with 6 speed.

How far am i along? Well, i have the car, the new engine and transmission and some of the needed parts.
My biggest problem is making up my mind and getting going. Once i get going the swap shouldn't take long (hopefully)

I plan on doing a lot of other stuff to the car as well when it's all apart. I would like to do this once and not several times to get it right, so i'm taking my time. I will probably do suspension, brakes and bushings at the same time. As well as other thing too like gauges and all that.

I didn't install any of the above engines just to let everyone know.

That port-work must really free up a lot of power if he's running 13s on 12psi!! Could also be the gearing. Adam said my car was a mid-13s car at 14.7psi!!

Here's my mods (powerwise):
TD05-16G, STi v2 TMIC, HKS 3" DP, 2.5" Tanabe turboback/cat.

I'm currently running anywhere between 16-17psi nowadays.

One question about the above-mentioned car. Does it have bigger injectors (especially if it's running 20psi )? I know my injectors are pretty much static at 18psi. I've been trying to source some true drop in replacements but have come up short.
