^^^ KB...we are making more power. At least 100whp over what I used to make. That did not even occur to me.

Just going to update you guys, block has 27k and still running strong... I’m so happy with the build quality, the motor was a lot more quiet at first but at this mileage point, everything is running well and yes the motor has gotten a little more “noisy”, but this is built motor things***128523;.

Default Closed deck or Open and sleeved for 500whp

The closed deck IAG is 4k, only $500 more than the Stage 2 tuff. Is this the obvious choice for 500whp? .... do we need to look at 1/2" studs? Price starts going up quite a bit with 1/2" studs... IAG says 675hp on stage 2.5 (their lowest level closed deck) which uses bolts not studs (or stock size studs). Seems like 625+ would work well with this setup.

I personally think to run more than 400whp for extended periods on a coffee can 2.5 then it needs to be closed deck or sleeved. People will say they run high power on stock case 2.5s but I doubt they drive them very hard
