If you don't know what you start with and end up with numbers that leave questions, knowing what you started with could potentially help rule out some otherwise unknowns.

It's very close. It's amazing how the camera can mess with the needle and the marks. I took multiple pics several times because it would appear to be 1 or 2 marks off from actual.
