Probably the editing haha. I did that shot on an uncalibrated display.

I was bored and ran a mile down the road to see what i could come up with in a developing neighborhood. Oh this was a 30" pull by myself

You have really good rig shots on your Photostream. I wish I could take shots like that! Just curious, how long do you spend editing out the boom on average?

A Little more night shooting practice.
Lens: Sigma 30mm f/1.4
Shot at: ISO100, F/16, 20sec shutter

I need to find a better light that will produce better lighting so I can use fewer photos, even though this was just 2 photos, I would like to get it down to a single shot, not including the background.

^that background could easily be cleaned up by some work on lightroom and maybe a little healing in Photoshop

Never thought about it like that.
I'll remove it and source a better filter.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks! Yeah this one was about 20 minutes. Took a but longer due to the flare on the parking light required a bit extra. I have had them take an hiur before depending how many light sources and reflections I have to deal with and how intricate the area above the car is, AKA a parking deck roof

I personally like B+W filters. I also like Fotodiox filters but those are very specific. In my case I have a 145mm ND filter

I used other brands and they would seem fine but would occasionally get odd flares and color casts. Switched to bw and got rid of 90% of the flaring I was having.

I think this would look really nice if you had the car on the railroad crossing. The tracks creates a nice leading line from right to left, thus "leading" your eyes to the car.

Also, the picture lacks contrast and "pop." It looks like you brought highlights and contrast down, but didn't touch any other settings?

So I cracked and bought a camera today. I picked up a Canon EOS Rebel T5 with the 18-55 kit lens. Here's my favorite of the very first set of photos I took with it about an hour ago.

No editing on the photo yet. Uploaded with Photobucket.

Any feedback/criticism is definitely welcomed.
