I agree. For me in Cali, a kit car emulating the body of a pre-1976 car would be best to get the highly coveted smog exemption.

I won't be getting into a driverless car any time soon.

People think globalization has taken jobs. But it's nothing compared to what technology has done. Let alone what is about to happen in the near future. The next wave of job loss from AI is going to be massive.

People say this every time new technology comes out. Will people lose jobs? Yes. Will other markets for employment be created and replace those jobs? Yes. You can’t just have a massive amount of jobs suddenly go away and expect the world economy to prosper. Hell, Elon tried having a fully automated factory and it failed pretty hard and he had to employ people on lines. He openly admitted the need for human workers and that AI / robotics can’t replace what humans are capable of.
